Yeah, that’s true. Again, it kind of sucks playing the waiting game, but to be honest it usually works out. If you have enough to cover your ass for a couple of months, I think you should be fine. Right now you have a job, so you only need to find a place to stay… should be alright. You have options for sure. Keep me posted. I’ll let you know if I hear of anything suitable. Would you be willing to take a lease from November 1st if you had to?

To be fair, if you are good to pony up a deposit without seeing a place they’d likely give it to you over a skype interview. If you don’t show up, they keep your bond and it’s rented by someone else a few days later… People who want places > places available at the start of any snow season!

Yes, I have done this twice in the past from Australia. Lease signed and locked in before I even left the country.
