Whistler 14/15 general questions

@rider26: I plan on riding Saturday, maybe one of the weekdays, and hopefully also any spontaneous powder day. I can’t do Sunday cuz I have church unless it’s like a 50cm day haha. I work as an independent personal trainer (wanna be my client :D?) so my schedule depends on my clients but I can make exception if it’s like a 30+cm day haha. Schedule is pretty flexible. Cypress gets boring really fast for the price I don’t think it’s worth it unless you get a gold card (their version of edge card), but we can ride there a couple of times.

Mate I live in Kits and will be driving up likely every weekend saturday, some weekends we might stay the night but can resolve that. theres always plenty of rides going. happy to ride share.

Not having much luck with the job search at this stage. Anyone know any places hiring or when the other job fairs are?

Those are good dates to be in whistler, Finney and Alysha’s birthday! YIEW>
We will be up in whis from the 9th for the birthday festivities (its alysha’s 25th and Finney is ...an old man). We will be having a party thing/onsies no doubt so all are encouraged to join the festivities!

Haha well I’m always in search of “culture” during my O/S trips so what better than partying with the “locals”!! dance

On the other hand I know you lot are unforgiving if somebody has a little too much to drink or takes a nap at one of your gatherings!  grrr

My work has an unofficial 20cm rule.
20cm or over the previous night, no work!

I guess we’ll be shredding together every day then as I’ve put in my order for pow pow!  shred

Landed a job finally woo!

Anyways they want me to give bank details but I havn’t signed up to any yet, does anybody know the best deal one to go with?

Im with TD and cant complain.

BUT if you go with the CIBC branch in Whis they give you heaps of bonuses cause they are a new branch. Like $300 when you deposit your first $$$ in nit.  $100 when you pay a bill, or something like that Dyldo is with them.

TD Canada Trust or RBC. Those are your best options for Whistler (both have branches in the village). I’ve been with both but I’m with TD now and they are great!

Congratulations on the job! What job did you get?

I went with Scotia and they had no fees for the first 12 months which was nice.

Problem at Whistler is that their branch is at creekside.

In Sun Peaks, nobody has a branch so it really doesn’t matter lol.

I’m on my way to Gatwick airport now.

Just found out my lift pass is the spirit pass $1400. Does anyone know if they wasn’t that all up front or if I can pay in installments?

Sounds like a pretty good deal! They have a branch in the village?

That bonus $400 can go towards the insanely overpriced season pass… I don’t know how you guys can do Whistler… Ouch…

Cheers for the heads up on CIBC! Went in today and set it all up so should be $400 richer soon.

Ended up getting a job at Milestones so pretty stoked about that, got offered a job with WB in parking today cus they accidently pressed no instead of yes after the job fair.. but reckon better off in hospitality anyways

Nice one. Milestones is a good restaurant. I might see you there sometime.

So I got offered to stay on with lift maintenance for winter! This means working weekends unfortunately but I’ll be shredding all day Monday’s to Wednesday’s!
