ASP Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast 2014

Stop numero uno of the 2014 ASP WCT.

And so as the new year is in full swing and everyone having settled in, the first stop of the ASP WCT with the new ZoSea format kicks off on the 1st of March at Snapper Rocks.

The new format from ZoSea will be watched by millions and unfold as the year goes on. Anyone unfamiler with ZoSea should read a bit further here Basically ZoSea bought out ASP to market it to the more non-surfing community (i think the new ASP webpage has something to do with this mob too).

Anyhoo back to the good stuff. With the 1st event comes some fresh new rookie faces. This new blood includes: Mitch Crews (AUS), Dion Atkinson (AUS), Jadson Andre (BRA) and Aritz Aranburu (EUK). This guys will be explosive and will be giving the veterans are run for their money.

Owen Wright has also made a 2014 WCT comeback after taking 2013 off due to a back injury.  This amazing goofy footer will also be another hot contender. There’ll be all the usual suspects: John John, Julian, Parko, Taj, Kerrzy, Adriano, Mick and of course Kelly all in the hunt for the WCT crown!

I myself will be at Snapper Rocks for the first few days of competition, rubbing shoulders with all the Pros and Quiksilver Promo girls at the hottest party’s on the GC.. Ha!!!! (In my dreams). Ill try and bring you some live coverage and or photos as the event kicks off. (If im not hanging with Slater or Mick)

Just a quick update folks. Ive been absent for the last week as ive been on holidays up the east coast. I managed to check out a couple of epic days at the pro and managed to sneek a peek at the surf trade show at Kirra Surf.
