Was bored last night and decided to go outside and find something new to take a photo of.
Never tried to capture the moon before. I wish I could get closer!

Cheers mate. It’s not as good as others I’ve seen with my setup. Most have more/sharper craters etc. I think I’ll have another go at it.
I took it with a Canon 7D, and Canon EF 100-400, just set up on a tripod, at 400mm.
ISO 100, 1/100th, f/11.
That’s pretty much a 100% crop.
If it wasn’t cloudy here i’d get out and give it a whirl myself tonight. We only go up to 300mm though.

What do you mean by a 100% crop?
At 100% it would be the original size and 400mm doesn’t get that close.

The moon only took up a very small part of the frame. When I zoom in 100% on the photo this is how it looks, and I just cropped around that.
Taking the time to thoroughly enjoy a lazy sunday morning… allowed myself to stay in bed, then up for a pot of tea and the sunday paper. Most strenuous thing I have done all morning is walk down the driveway to collect the paper!
Although a little devo the boys lost their Twenty/twenty grand final last night 
came down to the last over but they couldnt make it over the line… now to find something else to do on a saturday evening…

Went to the V8 Super cars test day yesterday at Sandown. Was pretty cool checking out the pits and all the hoo har that goes along with the V8 circus.
This morning I went to the Chook auctions, off loaded a few Geese, gained a few chooks. The only thing that could make the chook auctions better is if they sold grog !!! 
Oh yeah, caught Troy Casa Daley at Fed square in Melbs Friday night, was quite a good show.

Just looking at my unit outlines and whatnot for my first semester of uni this year. Not really keen at all to study but v. keen for the subsequent payrise! As long as I pass I really don’t care!
