hopefully gonna make it over east this year. but if it’s late in the season like usual, I’ll probably not be at the shred. gonna try to get over in peak to make sure I get some decent snow!

If its somewhere other than perisher, I vote closer to peak season.

Correct!!!!! But it wouldn’t be The Shred without all this carry on to begin with.

It builds the antici…......................pation !!!!!!!

where’s the fun in a foregone conclusion. It may well BE at Thredders, (and we will have a rad time), but we can have so much fun imagining the shred at other places.

More importantly, WHEN is it going to be….. cos peak is sooo busy and needs earlier planning. August is a crazy month already.

I would suggest the weeks following July school hols. It’s pretty much the quietest part of the season.
August is hectic on the hill and possibly already booked out.

Interesting….

My other group go the last week August as it is the quietest week of the “peak” season (its in between school age racing etc apparently)

You are paying through the nose but it is the week where you have some negotiation room.

But cost wise after school hols is good (although uni week falls in there!) or even just early Sept! That first week of Sept everything is open.

Hopefully I can make this one, regardless of where it is. A Vic shred would be awesome though cheese

In Thredbo;
Uni Week tends to kick off the opening of Heller Keller, and marks the beginning of extensive grooming.
After uni week is when Central Spur is accessible, making the resort 100% open.

I don’t trust the last weeks of August for quality snow.
