Calling All Action-Cam Users! I want to interview you!

Hey folks

I’m a freelance journalist who has been commissioned by one of Australia’s largest newspapers to write an article on whether action cams could cause extreme sports people to take more risks in the quest to capture the perfect video. I’d love to chat to you to see if you could offer a perspective for the article – note my deadline is in a week, so if you’re interested in chatting to me a prompt response would be very helpful. I’m specifically interested in people who use action cams and can comment on whether they believe their use could lead to more risk-taking behaviour. I’d also love to use a sexy image of your chosen activity to help illustrate the article.

If you’re keen and feel you’ve got some insight to offer the article, please ping me here and I’ll shoot you a private message with my contact deets. If you’ve got scars from an action-cam shoot that didn’t quite follow the script, awesome! Note that I want to explore both sides of the story, those who are for and against the topic I’m talking about, so I do not want this to be a negative article.

Peace out.

Hi AussieJourno,

When you say “Action Cams” are you talking about GoPros and Contours etc?

If so I’m happy to have a chat if I’m free at the time.

. . . I’d love to chat to you . . .

A “chat” is defined as an informal conversation between two or more people. Therefore we chat “with” people, not “to” them.

Surely you can use “chat” instead of “talk”? You talk to someone but you can’t chat to them?

Just curious as it sounds OK to me.
