GoPro Hero3+ (new GoPro)

Avatar

I like what NBG was saying about follow cam stuff.

This snow season; instead of pushing HeadCam Rentals I was on the hill selling myself as a FollowCam Operator.
$50/run/any run/any number of people.
I mostly approached people with a GoPro or mounts attached to helmets touting that for their money they will get 5mins of quality footage with little to no crap footage. Just add music and it’s ready to upload.

It helps that I’ve shot more POV footage than anyone on the planet and have honed that skill over a decade. wink

Hell yeah rick, only 1 in 5 turned me down. They do get a 4GB memory card included.
Then there’s the on-sell. wink
Think about it; 5 people pay $10 each, do a run that last 30mins and get footage no-one has to edit. That can be posted to fb before the day has finished.

I thought you learned stuff when we had our meetup. Don’t tell me you’re following what school taught you… teacherboy

How much you asking Rick?
I assume its GPH3, black or silver not 3+?

Pawn shops won’t offer much over $75 for GPH3black in the box!
Sold mine for $200 (but was a quick, urgent sale) and I was glad to be rid of it!
Could have waited a few days and sold it online for $300-$350.

Ok I just picked one of these up today.  A few first impressions; the new case isn’t quite as rugged as the old one, but neither is it as heavy or big.  They have included a printed user manual this time around (the 3 didn’t come with one, you had to use the online manual).  Will post more once I’ve had a chance to shoot some footage (probably after Xmas)

Cool!!!!!

Yeah, re the case it looks like that’s where the biggest reduction in the size of the unit was achieved?????

The actual camera housing doesn’t look that much smaller compared to its predecessor?????

Yeah you’re spot on - I believe all the size and weight reduction was due to the case, not the cam itself.  If you had a 3 and you wanted the lower weight, I guess you could just buy the new case.

So the new case will fit the 3?????

As mentioned earlier in this thread: 3+ and 3 cameras have identical dimensions.
It’s only the case that is smaller.
