Now that sounds even better!!!!!  cool smile

I reckon that somethin on mountain is the go, that way whoever wants to go and get a feed/drink at night, and have a yak about the days boardin and have a laugh, will be able to do so without the hassle of havin to drive back and forth to Jindy!!!!

Plus we can hold swimmin races at the duck pond as well???  sick

Don’t rule out mission inflatable races at the Leisure Center - 13 seconds on a wet track is my best (8s dry).

Plus there will be a SNOcam sponsored Boardworld Video Night of each days riding at one of the many drinking establishments.

See what you can conjure up as well then spaz!!!! A Mid week August jaunt sounds sweet!!!!!

We can all put the comparisons to a vote or somethin???? Or everyone can take an option!!!! When I’m on a break I don’t cook so that counts me out on your place spaz!!!! (That’s beside my own style of obnoxious twittery and habit of sleepin in!!!!)

If your older than me then the conditions don’t apply but you’ll be expected to set an example for us 2 snowbums.

Note: Flatmate is;
1. Female
2. Skier
3. Thredboland Instructor

Note 2: Be prepared to be out skied/boarded by my 7yo daughter when she is there.

Note 3: spaz goes very fast on the first run of the day and rarely slides after 10am (snow dependant)

The conditions of staying with me:
NO obnoxious twits (thats an idiot not an internet blogger)
Accept my obnoxious twittery.
Must cook for me and my flatmate.
If you drink - expect me and flatmate to drink as well - your shout.
If you smoke - same deal as drink. wink Your shout!
Most importantly YOU MUST BE UP FOR FIRST LIFTS (or dead) Not hungover or sore from day before dead - dead means no heartbeat/breathing. If you are dead your body will be dumped over the balcony in the river to make room for the next Boardworldian.
You may not pay to stay.

hahaha, nice one spaz! Sounds pretty win/win to me.

Whatever (and whoever) deal is found; run it by me first.
Brandy, (and all other BWM) I’m in Thredbo every other day and travel between SWrnSyd/Wollongong often. I will have my own place in Riverside Cabins your welcome to stay/travel with me.

Dude! That’s awesome. If I drank, smoked or cooked then I’d be in! Haha.

But seriously. I don’t drink or smoke, but I make a killer lasagne (if I do say so myself). And on top of that, just like every real Australian Bloke, I can use a barbie (cooking utensil, not the doll). I’d be more than willing to lend my cooking hand in return for some BW company.

Like I said, it seriously depends on how my thesis is going at the time. If I’m in front, then I may be willing to risk my supervisor’s disapproval. If I’m not in front then it probably won’t be worth failing and having to trying again next year. I’ll just have to catch up with whoever is going to be in Colorado over Christmas!

But wait, there’s more!!!!

I’m also;
Not obnoxious,
Not a Twit,
Accepting of Obnoxious Twittery,
Perfectly happy to be outdone by kids and
Last but not least - Extremely humble.

smile

Haha K2, Tarago sounds good!

Just had a brainwave about this trip. It was a huge idea in the space of very little time so I’ll try to remember everything and put it all down here.

Rider, any possibility of getting Chemical Storm (our latest sponsors), or even any of the other BW sponsors in on the trip? Perhaps a board demo or even board review day? That’d be awesome, everyone gets to try it out and tell them how we feel.

Perhaps a weekend photography comp for those of us keen on the ol’ point’n'shoot? Even a weekend photography comp involving the sponsors where the winning shot/s (I’m sure they’ll be incredible) are able to be used on the next marketing campaign for our sponsors or on the cover of snowboarder mag or something. I don’t know, just throwing ideas out there (mainly trying to get the f@tony/Brandy marketing company a leg to stand on here! raspberry)

I think prizes were already mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread. Prizes for the snow related things like perhaps a BW Sponsored Rail Jam or along those lines. I like the comp for best line down the mountain on the weekend, I thought that was a good idea. Maybe there should also be some other stuff like pool comps, best joke on the weekend, worst stack (not condoning injuring yourself, of course) etc

On top of that we could make the inaugral BW snowboarding vid? Surely that’d be worth doing over the weekend? I’m sure if we scrounged around we could get enough tech savvy people together with some handheld recorder stuff and a couple of weeks with a desktop to put it all togther. Potential for down the track vids and sales for that one I think.

Basically the mental image I had was a fantastic weekend (possibly consisting of more than a couple of days) for us BW members who are going to go along as well as great brand building opportunity for BW.

Thoughts? Too commercial? Or am I behind the 8 ball anyway?

Lets all bring our BW t-shirts and wear them over our Jackets etc, Ride down Front Valley / Supertrail (Perisher/Thredders) and make a movie. I hear that Mizu has a fancy new Go-Pro that he might just bring along?

Love the idea of getting the sponsors involved and if we can get a heap of Boardworld / sponsor stickers to give out to kids up on the mountain, its all good advertising. Hopefully we could get someone like Oz-Snow adventures to get us a good deal on accom and get us on their bus down there? And see if we can get someone from Burton, 32, Dragon or even Chemical Storm to let us demo some gear and get a semi pro rider to hang with us for the weekend. That would definitely make the weekend EPIC!

I’m not exactly a BW sponno, but I do have a headcam hire business in Thredbo and do video editing as part of that, I’ve worked as a photog there for 10 years as well. So a BW video and photo shoot is guaranteed as part of the weekend/week.

That should help on promoting any sponsors that are interested.

Thanks Brandy, I’ll look into all of that. Appreciate the input!
