Normally I’m the one that stuffs up but not this occasion.
For a change I don’t have to convince myself (or everyone else) I DIDN’T DO IT.
Boss calls from Hotham; “Are you in Thredbo, when can you get there?”
He forgot about a video job that needs shooting and editing today, ready for presentation tonight. I’m 6 hrs away.
If he told me last week, I could justify being there this weekend.
In another incident - mate down the other weekend with the boys, they’re all on it with a bit of lsd thrown in the mix.
This mate knows my mum, this week he expressed his concern about me to mum; that I made little sense during conversation in the snow. All good, I’m stoked to have such caring mates. But to observe I’m not making sense from someone on acid is stretching observation skills.
Admittedly; some of our convo had me confessing I felt unmotivated to snowboard or surf anymore! Truly enough to to raise concern for my mental health.
How often do others stuff up’s encroach into your life?
