Then there’s another voice which says, ‘‘Do what you love, spend your money as you like, search for waves and uncrowded places, keep your old little car, this doesn’t matter, think about now, this very moment and don’t leave things for later. Live as you will man, say what you feel and do what your heart asks… follow your instincts.’’

And when it was that time of the year where every professional surfer found their way to Hawaii, the second voice spoke louder in my head, and I didn’t go. Instead, I went to another direction and found myself in Europe, where I found much more than just cold… I found what makes me smile.”
