I want this!!!
Then we could go cruising
Spaz that vw is incredible!
Thanks Mcgoo!
Cool rides everyone!
spaz that vw has shitloads of personality love seeing a moded car that isnt kept in the garage!! Boxer motor looks nice as well I bet the power to weight feels nice!
Extremely nice. Then there’s the incredible torque boxers produce.
In such a light car (800kg) it handles great as well.
Nice resto mate. Is the back tyres supposed to be on an angle? are they special rims / tyres? How much does that set you back when you need new ones lol.
Cheers Yep its a Japanese style called VIP Style. Wheels were very expensive (about 2k each) tyres are cheap and just normal ones but i need to swap the left tyre to the right side every 2000ish kms to keep the wear even.

Also if you want to see something really crazy look up “Oni Camber” these guys use custom control arm and really push things to the limit.
Couple more pics:
hehe, I love being reminded how inexpensive vw’s are to mod. Just by resetting the torsion bar lowers the ride and produces big camber angles.
Camber can’t really be seen in the pic below but it’s there.
I ended up raising it for practical reasons like speed bumps and handling at higher speeds. It actually turned too hard through corners with that camber and any poor tire pressure could cause a spin.
Old VW’s don’t drift! Lost traction means driving backwards.

Very nice Had the same camber hit on the is300 when it was really low, 3.5deg on the rear just from winding down the coilovers!
Im with you on the practical side though! My is300 is high as a kite now, i get my low hit from the ceddy
The spinning thing is a bit scary!!
Funny fact, i have to do 3 point turns on round-abouts because of the limited turning angle… hahaha
Bit of a send off to my Motorbike. Loved that bike and was devastated to let her go. But it had to be done!
Went to Pie in the Sky:
Then went and took some photos:
Saying goodbye to a loved one is always hard.
And that bike suited you!
It happens. And it’s a good excuse to get a new one when I get back
thats such an awesome van, it really needs a pedo bear sticker on the side!!!
Hey Cords I have a friend who is soon going to the States to do some road trippin and are looking for a van to buy. Not sure what dates they said but how much longer are you going to own that beast?
Interested in selling it?
This is meant to be about cars you own Azz or was that b’day pressy?
I thought I would include cars I dream of owning
I know some blokes that have done a few road trips in the states.
When they are done and it’s time to travel home, they drive around the city (they have told me of LA & NY) and find a homeless person, then tell them if they come for a ride to the airport, they can have the car.
What nice chaps they are. They said the bloke in New York was absolutely stoked
