Heya Alex

As someone who has been through a few goggles in search of the perfect pair I would recommend you head into store and try a bunch on (especially seeing as you’re passing through Rhythm)

If you wear a helmet make sure you check the two fit together nicely.

This will also give you an idea of how much extra peripheral vision you get with certain models.

You will also notice a big difference in what fits your face best (around the bridge of your nose etc) Trust me this is important as I experienced earlier in the year in a Japan blizzard with a slight gap around my nose.

The lens choice is also very important. Pick the lens that suits the conditions you will be riding in (bright light, flat light etc) not just what lens colour matches your outfit! smile

I’m currently wearing Dragon APXs (the smaller ones) and so far I’ve been happy with them but mostly because of the good comfy fit (I probably prefer smith lenses and the peripheral vision isn’t noticeably better than other goggles I’ve worn)

I run the Oakley Danny Kass model which are Crowbar which have Polarized lenses in them. They are a good fit for me and are like wide screen but that might not suit you so I would go in to store and try some on.

Nothing worse than going up and you have to get another pair because the ones you bought online didn’t work out.

Pretty easy, just try heaps on (Rythym has a massive range) and make sure you take your helmet with you. Goggles come in different shapes and sizes and you might find that the pair that look the best just don’t fit.

Multiple lenses is very important and I’m yet to find a single lens that is good for all conditions. I always look for goggle that comes with a free second low-light lens, or better yet, buy a cheap second pair with low-light lens that you can keep in your bag. As for the various types of shaded lens, they all work the same for me.

Most importantly, you’ve gots to have dat mirrored lens…. smile

Hey AlexTown, welcome to Boardworld. cool smile

I agree with everything said above. Goggles are like boots; try on as many as you can. They all fit a bit differently, and the one you thought you liked, might be the wrong shape (creating gaps or causing pressure in areas). Try them all on and I can almost guarantee one or two will feel the best out of the lot. Then you just have to choose what colour/style you prefer.

If you want a bigger goggle, I would try:

Dragon APX
Anon M2
VonZipper Feenom
VonZipper Bushwick
Oakley Crowbar
Oakley Canopy

... and others.

I hate it when i have my low light lens on and forget. I have a habit of watching people (they may or may not be hot females…)

I actually have 2 pairs of goggles, one i run my reflective lens the other low light and just wear whatever suits the conditions

I do the same deano, have 2 pairs, one in my bag and one that I wear.. One has a light pink/ green lens the other had the polarized mirror lens

so maybe look at getting a pair with a lens for different conditions than the ones you currently have smile

Ive had a few pairs of goggles, and as far as “fishbowl” goggs go, im currently rocking the oakley crowbar..

I find them to have a wicked fit and great peripherals. Not to mention they look dope too!! Haha!

But as the boys and girls have said above, go into store and just try a bunch on. Ya never know ya might walk out with something totally different to what you expected!

Shred on lad!! Yeeww!  shaka

I wear the VonZipper Fishbowl. To me it’s comfiest out of all the goggles I tried in store (wore the Electric EG2 previously). It’s just a tinyyy bit smaller than the EG2 but you wouldn’t notice it at all. The Fishbowl is bigger than the Feenom.

I’ve got some EG2’s last year and I loved them, is the worst when I have to go from my mirrored lenses to the yellow lens :( I just won a set of Shaun White Oakley Airbrakes in a facebook competition on the “AussieSnowboards.com.au” page smile they are in the mail and can’t wait to get them and give them a go!

If you’re going to get multiple lenses for your goggles, you might want something that has a quick change lenses (e.g. Smith IO).  Changing lenses is a pain on my Smith Prophecies, and I wish i’d shelled out bit more for the IO.

The Oakley Airbrakes looks like they are the easiest goggles to change, that I have seen anyways.
