(Guys, reading some threads lately , oh so stereotypical Aussie male. Is this who you are? Time to lift your game)
Just remember guys that there are women on here and some comments can be seen as derogatory We’d like to see more girls on here, just keep that in mind

Nicely said Blizz!
But lets get this back on topic.
My dad has a pretty impressive collection of tools (a few BWM have been lucky enough to be in his man cave). The worst thing about not living at home is not having access to the man cave!
One of my favorite thing is the electricity meter thingy so you can test battery life! Crazy I know!
Years and years ago my sister bought me a facial for xmas and she was worried it was too girly so she balanced it out with a small screw driver set!
Apologies to the women out there; no disrespect to you, it was more a dig at Dylan and was meant to be taken as a joke.
Just because a person has a vagina doesn’t meant they don’t have a well stocked toolshed. I know a few of women that do, but very few men that don’t get off on their tools or can go to a hardware store without losing track of time (maybe it’s a weakness of our sex).
I mean really?
It’s well documented on these forums that I buy makeup, skin products and girly clothing. I can walk gracefully in high heels, can even run in them (have had to teach many girls how to walk in heels) and am the envy of many mums at the dance school for my ability to do hair and makeup. I teach enough of them the correct way to do a bun, put on false eyelashes and the difference between stage makeup and everyday makeup. I’m more of a girl than many girls I know.
But I don’t lose track of time in a department store or shopping mall.
I’m comfortable with the difference between the sexes, it’s not inequality but respect for our differences.
If you can’t laugh at the differences between men and women the world would be a boring place.
Why can’t women be proud of their vagina’s and girly atributes? - it doesn’t make them a weaker sex, IT MAKES THEM STRONGER (and more attractive imo).
As a man you’ve failed if you walk out of a hardware store empty handed.
That twitchy feeling is your penis shrinking.
I would put money on me having more tools than you spaz
How much money Dylan?
With a six car garage and three sheds I still have to keeps tools in cupboards and draws in my room (admittedly the sheds and garage could do with tidying up.
Thanks Spaz. Good points.
I guess not everyone reads all threads to get the jokes.
As a chick that uses tools a lot, my fav is the air compressor.
I totally got the message, (but felt a little over judged - my own sensitivity, not that i was judged that way). Every now and then I need to balance out my girlyness with some stereotypical male comments, makes me feel like more of a man
I am very found of my compressor. 2nd favourite air tool (but least used) is the impact wrench. #1 is my gravity feed spraygun.
Need to buy wizzer for panel work to give my portable sander a break and so my arms don’t get more worn out.
(ultrasound and x-ray for arthritis in shoulder tomorrow).
Glad you girls are getting involved in this thread. I don’t like the term “man cave” but can’t come up with a replacement.

Multimeter
Anyone own a Dremel (or other brand)?
It’s one tool stepdad is hesitant to let me near, when he’s not home I occasionally borrow it.
ok ill go with more power tools and put 10 bucks on it
if only there wernt scattered between 2 houses and 3 sheds
I have a dremel, use it with the flexy head a fair bit for engraving stuff
a few snaps of my tool stack, just a small selection of my many tools.
and maybe not my favorite, but definently one of my most used tools
and air tools… well thats another story!

Workshop
Can I still call it a cave though??
Its under the house and there is no natural light!
Anyone who has seen it will agree it is a cave!
There is no sexisim in the cave. He hasn’t even put up the dodgy 70’s playmate pics in this one!
And he has a shed too! actually two! One he recently had to put an extension on!
Oh I own a dremel as well, not a bad tool, is nice to have it, before I got it I found so many times where I could have used it, now not so much ha ha!
Read things in context girls, I have found this forum to be particularly inoffensive when it comes to sexism or any other ism’s generally speaking, Spaz’s comment was very easily read to be a dig at Dylan if one read the thread in it’s entirety.
If someone has a problem with a post by a member I suggest they do the grown up thing and take it up with that individual directly via PM. If they are not satisfied with the outcome of the PM discussion then go ahead and get mods or admin involved. Many people myself included sometimes do not see how ppl may take offence at some posts but in the course of a civilised PM discussion points and counter points can be raised and a resolution can be reached without bothering mods or admin.
No one liked the kid that ran to the teacher every time something didn’t go their way, it’s not that much different in the adult world in my experience.
I think Spaz may have been engaging his facetious side when he took umbrage with the term man cave, maybe he would prefer it called the toolshed? That of course brings it with a whole host of new entendre.
No offence intended to anyone, nor is it directed at any one person.
Spaz was clearly having a dig at me, not trying to offend anyone else, its not a big deal, please do try and look past it without making an issue.
man cave:
A man cave (also sometimes mantuary) is a male sanctuary, such as a specially equipped garage, spare bedroom, media room, den, or basement..
its all getting a little bit politically correct for my liking
Look we all have seen some stuff that we are unsure if it’s cool to put on a public forum. There was the time of the giant ‘Straya C*** which got taken down pretty quick. Lets just double check anything that might get seen as a bit offensive and maybe check with a mate before posting.
By all means, I see what people are saying and I personally don’t get offended too easily (but have cringed more than a few times over the years) so lets keep everyone in mind when posting, whether it is the females, the 12 year old lurkers, the newbies, Dylan or anyone else.
