For me it’s $ down the drain for a whopping big hole in the ground called a swimming pool.
What a waste of money!!!
Gets used a couple of times a year. Azz is trying to work out how to put trout in it. It’s not even concrete so we can’t skate it (that being the royal we, meaning them, not me). It just doe n’t get hot enough for long enough.
And in the snow, alpine touring bindings that attach to the other bindings. Should have spent those $ on a split board. What was I thinking????
Wedding photographer.
I knew it was a WOFTAM beforehand, but somethings you’ve just got gotta do…
My Perisher season pass last season. Only did the 7 days at the Shred. Wasted a few hundred dollars I think.
I can top that.
I went down to Perisher for a day the week before the shred. One of my mates who came with picked up his Freedom Pass that day….His only day on snow…
The girl at the counter was like “you want to pick up your pass for next year?”
“No this year”
“Well you got good value out of it..”
Legal fees for family court - cost twice the deposite for the apartment I was going to buy in Thredbo.
On a lighter note - ski boots.
Scratching my head about this one, some of the things I’ve spent money on some would consider to be a complete and utter waste but to me they had value, I’ll continue to think about it and hopefully come up with something!
Basically the trinity.
Cars/Women/Alcohol
Meh no really regrets I never look back on things I spend….. If I did god my head would hurt..
But for some my hobbies such as cars , ice hockey in Australia and rock climbing would consider waist of money.
But to me that was not waste of money…
all might be a waste of money but once you have done it it will save you time and money by not doing it again
Except alcohol, i do and will continue to waste money on it for years to come, as a famous man once said
and
Deano I would have and I’m not even kidding here about $400k I reckon if not for those three things, do I consider it a waste, FCUK NO!
Oh i dont regret any of it either.
I prob should have made that clearer!
I has been a hell of a ride so far
2001. Wrote my car off, collect $16k from the insurance company, moved to Melbourne and blew pretty much the whole lot on booze and generally having a good time.
Was made redundant in June last year, 20k (give or take) payout.
1.5 months later of constant partying/trips to hotham/falls staying on snow and i was broke. Hence the relocation back up this way.
I half regret it, half loved it. That month was a major high just coming after a major low.
Mwhahahaha Tills, a mate of mine did something similar, we used to laugh after every big night when he wasn’t around that the night before he’d drunk the mag wheels, the next night he might drink the seats, after one particularly large and messy night we decided he had drunk the engine ha ha ha!

you totally loved it! But you only half regret it now cos you’re not doing it
I bet we all have a lot of things we have wasted money on in the past. Fixie, stupid game speaker backpack, electronics….list could go for ever. It’s some thing you learn though to stop and think more about your purchases after you make stupid ones. Recently purchased a second hand surfboard which is so shit cost $200, this will turn in to a art piece instead.
Live and learn!
