Yeah I’ll keep you posted, started my full time roster today so from here on in I’ll only be riding mon-wed so I’ve got all the quiet days off.

Anyone hitting Symphony or Blackcomb Glacier?

Symphony Opens On Saturday

All alpine lifts including Symphony Express on Whistler Mountain, Horstman and Showcase T-Bars on Blackcomb Mountain are scheduled to open daily as of Saturday, December 18, 2010. 7th Heaven, Glacier Express, Harmony Express and the Peak Chair are also open daily for the season. Ski outs are available to both Whistler Village and the Blackcomb Base. We now have over 5280 vertical feet of terrain waiting to be explored and over 7500 acres open as of Saturday. Please note, all alpine lifts are subject to weather.

Hmm.. the showcase and horstman are open yesterday when I went.

Yeah I hit up Symphony today The snow conditions were great with lots of fresh to be had. As it was my first time out at Symphony there was sooo much to explore. Lots of trees and little bumps everywhere equaled heaps of fun. It was kinda annoying how much flat there is around that area though. Meant lots of unstrapping, crab walking and hopping around. Towards the end though I was finding lines which had a better flow to them. I think I’ve been hitting up Blackcomb too much

Oh and the cat track from Symphony back to Emerald sure is a killer!

You mean Whistler? 

hehe I was having a cheeky stab at Whistler cause on Blackcomb there’s nowhere near as much flat sections… but in all seriousness, I still can’t say I have a favourite yet, they are both the best mountains I’ve ever ridden!!!

I meant the cat track to Emerald is on Whistler. 

Yeah and it sure is a whopper getting there from Symphony, especially after riding Pow all day…

Oh and I slightly tinkered with the wording of my post from today. Wasn’t meant to sound like Emerald is on BC lol.

For the benefit of my own curiosity, I’m keeping track of the No. of days I go riding this season. So far out of 29 days since opening I’ve done 24 of them

Anyone rode today? The weather was terrible man. Wet, visibility was extra low, really windy in the alpine (jersey cream). But the powder was great though :D

worked on red chair all day today, wet snow, wet boots, wet gloves… killer day on all fronts

yesterday was awesome though, got the first 2 lines down to red in fresh pow which was amazing. 1st ride down was just after 7 in the dark so was riding blind via the treeline, 2nd run was after doing the line check and there was a bit more light then so got to check out my original lines down orange peel which was awesome, perfect turns the whole way down so was stoked to see 2 lots of perfect S’s side by side.

just finished dinner with Dan, rhiannon and pete complete with 2 fireplaces…

mmmm yummy turkey!!!
