i would hope so, but she couldn’t say 100% if they are of if they are not going to be running on Friday .

As I said you probably don’t need to know til before you leave Sydney. And it is likely you will know.
It’s always a race for which resort will load lifts to the public first.
Perisher are in the best position to be the first. And normally are.
I am pretty certain V8 will load Friday 7th, late morning so they can market the hell out of it and let word spread through social media and TV networks before anyone leaves work Friday lunch.
IT WILL BE THE LATEST THEY START OPERATIONS. Likely they will turn the bullwheel with chairs attached and bums on seats well before that so they can snap off some publicity shots.
I forget what day it was that Ash rode first chair last year. Maybe Thursday, 9days before the official opening date!

May be able to help you out with a lift but looking to drive through Canberra at 3pm on the Friday and I don’t leave the resort/jindy until late on Monday.
personally not fussed on the friday opening, would probably just draw bigger crowds(lines) on the weekend, which i dont like. plus me and jonny are driving friday and boarding sat sun mon tues

this is why we skip the LWE and do the one after! Haha we had like 5 other people on the whole of blue cow with us.. (blue cow opened the day we go there, the Friday after LWE)
They have moved the big main mound of snow out of this shot.
My guess is that it has been pushed into the load area of the V8 as it hasn’t filled the brown mid way up the slope.
I was stunned on the weekend to see how much higher the load area of the V8 was to the ground (ie how much snow needed to be built up to level it off).
Yeh I noticed that in one of perisher’s Facebook photos (the one of the guy doing the first rails.) and someone had asked about it and they said its around 1m to 1.4m depending on what spot.. But that’s hectic..
Yep we used it as a stage on the weekend! LOL

so far ozsnowadventures are the only bus trip running but are only doing a two day trip.
what time would you be leaving Sydney on Friday ? The Monday late return is fine with me
