Love both of them! And Spaz, you say short runs at Perisher, that’s my pickle also. Being having no real experience with KT, Threddy doesn’t have that negative for me, just yet lol.

I maintain the Facebook page. At this time of year the snow won’t stick around for long, but it’s good to see the snow falling, even if it’s just helping to cool the ground for the snowmakers. Also gets people stoked for the season! Yeeeew!

It’s my winter mission to give accurate details of snow conditions - probably why the resorts aren’t to keen on employing me.
Thredbo post images without much detail. When I get hold of them I tend to burst the bubble by adding the location. eg the image below is taken at the top of Snowgums Chairlift at Black Salees restaurant where snow tends to accumulate. (they have obviously searched for the best place to photograph snow.

Well, they didn’t exactly cover the fact that they road the chair up - it was uploaded to fb with the chairlift photos.
Done well from a marketing angle - those that know don’t feel cheated and those with no idea think a ton of snow fell in the village.

Funny story…
I really wanted to register http://www.facebook.com/boardworld for our page. When I tried it said it was taken already. I was pretty annoyed to say the least. When I investigated to see who stole our business name on Facebook, I was surprised to learn it was ME. I had registered the Boardworld Australia personal page with /boardworld. I have regretted that decision ever since, but at least no one else can steal it haha.

In other news Thredbo have come out with the cheapest day ticket (apparently, anyone know how my Ben Lomond or Selwyn are?)

Usernames must be at least 5 characters so “Xcam” is too short. Don’t know why SNOcam wont/can’t??
