Need to know numbers and what sort of price you want.
Eg: Do you want one price that covers accom+lift tickets+pizza(1night)+churrasco(1night - all you can eat)
Some other q’s that aren’t in the poll that I can help you with;
Do you want more private accom like your own room or own apartment?
You have a group and we all want to stay in the same place?
Happy to stay wherever you put me? (more than one place may be booked).
Are you willing to share a bed? (most places have double or queen beds in separate rooms, some have fold a out sofa or tri bunks)
You are broke and need the cheapest available option for lift tickets and accommodation?
Boardworld Shred 2013, Sept Fri 13th - Sept Fri 20th, Thredbo
I will be staying at the River Inn (need to with all the demo gear etc) but I think it would be awesome if you filled the Shred Shed again. Obviously it’s unbeatable value, heaps of fun and a great place to hang out. For anyone on a budget, this is the best value you will find. I’ve spent many nights in Pulpo Lodge (Shred Shed) and it’s a great place to stay (nothing luxurious but certainly comfortable).
I have options on other places for around the same (total) cost that are nicer (really nice) but don’t have as many beds so the price per person goes up.
Pulpo is ideal because it can sleep 20 people.
What I’m trying to do with this poll is determine if the higher end places are an option people want.
Um there is no option for me. I am going to come for 3-4 couple of days but keen for a dinner out like last time. will need lifts tickets for 3 days min
i got no idea where i am going to stay, but like oz i will be there one way or the other.
What’s the sleeping arrangements for this budget “shred shed” option?
Nothing locked in yet but RPS and I are aiming at a 3 day weekend so 2 nights (maybe 3 if it’s super cheap) accommodation in Thredbo and 2 day Thredbo lift passes (will ride the 3rd day at Perisher with our Freedom passes)
Having never been to Thredbo I’m relying on the BW offers for accommodation.
I picked option 1, as Mr.h0z and I are only coming 1 day.. Having perisher season passes.. And the fact I’m looking at stepping down at work (so.. Around 200 a week less for me..) (and we have a week long stay locked in for the week after the shred..)
but again I’m more than happy to ride with people at perisher before and after the shred.. (maybe if I win lotto or something, I can pay for the other half and I to got the entire time lol! - and possibly shout the BW shred! *fingers crossed* haha)
I cant confirm anything, my immediate future is up in the air so i cant commit to shit.
Pulpo has two apartments (upstairs and downstairs).
Upstairs has three bedrooms. bed1=queen double, bed2=bunk + fold out dbl sofa, bed3= bunk + single + fold out dbl sofa. In 2011 there was also a mattress on the floor in the lounge room.
Both places have new sleeping layout - both have brand new sofa beds.
These photos are out of date.
Downstairs has 2 dble fold out sofas (no bunk bed)
Another option (a bit more expensive) is Steamboat.
Bedroom#1= Double bed (2), Bedroom#2= Tri-bunk + Bunk (5), Loungeroom 1 x Fold out double sofa bed
Says it sleeps +7. I’ve seen this place and the photos don’t do it justice.
I actually went ahead and booked a sweet arse pad in Woodridge and have a few BWM on board. Its full at the moment but will let people know if someone drops out.
yikks.

looks nice Kim
Hey spaz,
Is the option: Accom + lift tickets 7days + 2 meals $550 still a potential?
Trying to figure out el-Budget shred potential….
Cheers
The option is still there but based on the poll results it seems not enough people are keen.
With so many people ignoring this offer I don’t have the money to make the deposit on the larger place.
I will look into the costing of a smaller place, I know the price per person isn’t that much different.
Though I’m beginning to feel that I should go ahead and do my own thing, since if I look after just myself I can stay for free.
Then you’d miss out on my charming personality
But seriously, fair call… It can be a PITA when you’re trying to organize for others. Do let me know if you end up arranging somewhere else for around the same price would ya $$
I will be working the season at Perisher as usual. But I’ll sort out some tickets for my days off so I can shred with you guys!
