Crackers by all reports it handles about 6-8ft but it could make it interesting getting out and the fact it’s not a defined reef pass would make it like surfing a beachbreak in terms of being able to read where it will break.
I hope I can learn at least to stand up befor I fly out to Hawaii lol
At the very least i will hire one there as she wants to learn to surf, and my board is not the ideal board (small and very fast)
That and i dont have a board bag as of yet

haha that could get interesting. Trying to get through 6ft sets in that shallow water. Many other breaks around that had potential for bigger wave spots?
Most definitely Crackers, especially about 5-10mins by boat away, proper reefs with channels etc. When the Hawaiin winter is in full throttle, swell that hits hawaii hits there 2 days later and generally half the size but a longer period. If Pipe is 15-18ft and 15sec period, the reefs will break at 6-8ft and 18secs.

Love the bit at about 2mins where the cameraman goes behind the wave and then you can see the surfer from the other side and then they fall off. good timing! looks cool!
It’s a bit of a me me me me vid, all surfing performed by moi. The bit you’re talking about Oz i pulled off the back and held onto the board but I like that bit as it illustrates just how shallow it is and how close to the reef it breaks.
