Actually if the truth be told I actually found it on Wikipedia but knew if I just “quoted” wikipedia you would all knock me down. So I then googled “Travis Rice ski patrol”
And the Nat Geo link came up!

I recall that might have been where I heard that Travis’s father was employed as a Ski Patroller. However, I might have been mistaken. It may, in fact, been in another movie of the Snowboard genre, or, it might have been seen while reviewing a transcript of a conversation reproduced in a magazine. I do recall seeing, or hearing it somewhere…
