Hey guys,
Buying boots for the first time, I’ve been looking around and really like the look of the 32 Joe Sexton Signature Maven Snowboard Boots from 2013. Couldn’t find any reviews as was wondering what peole had to say about them? For a season in thredbo for an intermediate rider with a wide foot. No sure aboutthe support they give with that a low cut, but daym they look good!
Hey Eddies,
I will give you the same piece of advice I give everyone looking to buy new boots…
Don’t set yourself on a particular model or brand when it comes to boots. No matter how good the brand is, or how good quality the boots are, there is a good chance they won’t work for your particular foot shape. Boots need to be fitted according to your foot shape. So keep a very open mind about all brands and models. The best bit of advice I can give you is try on as many different boots as possible.
How they look is the last thing you should look at. I know some boots are visually appealing but it’s irrelevant in regards how the boots fit and perform. Also keep in mind your pants cover half the boots, then your bindings cover about half of what’s left. Buy boots according to fit (most importantly), budget and performance. At the end of the day, all you will care about is how the boots feel and perform when you’re shredding. Poor fitting boots (no matter how good they look) will leave you in agony and off the mountain before you know it.
What he said ^^^
I had my eye on a pair of 32’s when I was first buying boots and when I tried them on they were completely wrong for my foot shape and ended up with K2’s instead. Really keep an open budget for boots you’re in them all day and they need to fit right.
