ReplayXD 1080 -almost the “Ultimate” ActionCam-

Avatar

The ReplayXD is a mighty good camera used by many production companies that do live feeds, it is the best performing for video wave distortion and solid mounting to moving objects that suffer intense vibration.
It has the ability to do stereo audio, live HD streaming and a plethora of upmarket accessories like a 4.3” screen and 6hr battery.
It also accommodates oldschool lipstick camera accessories - it is a bomb little performer that has 15M broadcast bit rates and it’s cheaper than GPH3Silver.
$339rrp (and includes a 4GB sdcard).
It’s the preferred camera for motor sport raceing like Australian Offroad Championship, Bathurst 12hr and Bay Point Motorsports (V8 ute racing) owned by Colin Bradley.

The kit

Bathurst 12hr footage (watch it on 360p if you want, THE FOOTAGE IS THAT GOOD!!) It’s a long video though.

To see how it performs in the snow (mostly skiing)

To date ReplayXD Australia hasn’t broke into the snow market but that’s about to change; shaka

Hi Sebastian,

Sounds good and would be great to have someone in snow involved.

I have attached the forms needed and can send you the price list etc.

We know there is interest but it is difficult to get them into the stores for people to see but we are working on advertising and the like getting the name out there.

We can have you listed up on the websites also.

You can scan and email them back will be fine.

Speak soon.

Regards,

Damien

a couple years ago i bought the replay XD and the camera was awesome, i loved the fact that it was so small, light, solid, and could strap it to ANYTHING! my only gripe was that I didnt wait for the 1080 version :(

being a replay fan for years now I have always wondered why go pro’s still look like cubes?

Gotta say I’ve been watching the progress of ReplayXD since day dot.
Right now they really take my fancy as a saleable product because they are keeping it simple while still being able to add accessories and customise to any degree.
You can adjust: bit rate, exposure, metering, white balance, contrast, sharpness, saturation and audio gain or leave it on auto for any of them individually.

I’m loving the field display.

The HDMI port allows for HUD display.

The GoPro fans will be quick to point out the “on paper” comparison of;
720@60fps v’s 1080@60fps/720@120fps
135°fov v’s 170°fov
O ring sealed with weatherproof buttons v’s 60m submersible
No WiFi

But really this camera is so much more…
The image quality under extreme conditions I’ve only seen better in VIO1.5 (but this is HD).

ReplayXD has a few tricks up it’s sleeve the others don’t.
-The biggest being that it’s made from anodised Aluminium and has no vibration issues.
-The lipstick design and 135°fov prevent video wave or distortion.
-Price XD1080 $339
-Price XD720 $179

I’m guessing you bought the old SD version (it’s tiny).
The 720 model looks to be the best bang-for-buck camera, it shoots at 60fps, is HD and only $179.

Is the menu interface as easy as it looks LowGuido?

A true assessment to how well it performs.
Cameras are held on with the mounts supplied in the box.
It is the fasted camera on earth.

And some production guy talking about it + footage of it getting hit and run over by a car.
