Marcus Kleveland Nails Triple Cork!
13-year-old Norwegian star Marcus Kleveland becomes the youngest rider ever to land a Triple Cork.
Perhaps the worst kept secret in snowboarding Marcus Kleveland has joined an illustrious list of pros that have successfully landed Triple Corks.
On a purpose-built kicker in Vierli, Norway, the young Norwegian took some time to familiarise himself with the landing until finally landing the elusive trick. He joins the likes of Torstein Horgmo, Mark McMorris and a handful of others who have stomped the triple.
I was inspired when I saw Torstein Horgmo landed the triple cork for the first time three years ago… Since then I have wanted to try it, and the first time I dared to try was at the Red Bull Performance Camp in Sun Valley last year. But the jump there was too small, and I landed on ice. Now everything was perfect!
Having been riding since the age of three and regularly nailing double corks since the age of eleven, Marcus has steadily been making a name for himself in the industry. Here’s what Halfpipe maestro Louie Vito had to say about him:
I remember seeing an edit of Marcus a couple of years ago and I had to ask my Norwegian friends who this was from that was so sick. I’m stoked to see him progressing at such a fast rate but having fun doing it at the same time. I hope to see this kid around for years to come!

damn kids!!
its hard to comprehend a 13 year old going through the progression required for a triple - insane! if he keeps the passion he will be a big name in years to come
That is just that crazy! Good on him, will be seeing a lot of him in the future!
