Hmm this will be interesting
First family car from when I was born till about 12, ours was bit more of a tan colour I think
Second family car after Mum rolled the first one after brake failure in torrential downpour
Next up got a bigger car as a family of 5 required it very badly, ours was the ill fated 4cyl 4 speed manual jobbie as Dad was obsessed with fuel economy
Next was the VK wagon, 3.3litre carby 6 manual, this si the car I learnt to drive in
THis was my very first car, very plain old VL exec manual wagon, mine didn’t have any paint blemishes, very straight car, no air con and was actually pretty bloody fast. Lasted 2 weeks before some shitbag in a brand new VT SS ran a redlight and tBoned into automotive heaven.
The replacement for the first one, lasted over 3 years before some really shitbag lowlifes flogged it and smashed it while I was in Vic for the Bells pro. I loved this car, it took me everywhere, I didn’t have mags on mine just some lovely hubbies
Next up was my first V8, bought it from a dealer who was apparently Skaife’s old man on the central coast. Very straight with SV5000 rims on it and otherwise unmolested. I put a striaght through exhaust on it from the centre muffler and left it at that, had it for 1.5 years before trading it in.
Next up was my first ute, I think I was 24 when I bought this, also my first brand new car. This is almost exactly the same as mine, same wheels and everything
This is a pic of both of my actual latest cars, the black SSV is the old one, the Blue ranger is the current one\
First car to have my name on the rego papers. 3-on-the-tree with a bench seat.
Grandfather made me take it back to dealer because of the rust.
I then got the Mazda which later received a rotory engine becoming the first car I modified.
Mine was yellow.
My first car, Valiant (Wog Chariot, as they were commonly known as back then) Regal 68!!!!! Mine was Gold with a Cream roof!!!!!
Slant 6 with Holley Carbs, went like the Clappers!!!!!
Then the next car was a defining factor in my future automotive purchases from then on (Along with my Brothers Camira, my Grandfathers Sunbird, and my Dad’s Co Car, a Lexan), It was decided that I would never own another Holden ever again!!!!! The Gemini!!!!!
Then came the impulse buy of a Subaru Dual Range Wagon 83 model, and the start of my loyalty to a brand of car that to this day has never left me stranded by the side of the road!!!!! All my mates were like “WTF is that” when I bought it!!!!!
This is an actual pic of it from our first ever trip to the snow, on the way back from Perisher!!!!! Complete with a Rossignol Hire Board strapped to the roof racks!!!!!
“The Wog Chariot” Slant 6 was a mighty engine. I think they even had oval cylinders.
Trent’s dad’s car!

My old man had one of these for a few years in my early teens, mum made him sell it before I got the chance/was old enough to drive it sadly, well that was his version of events anyways I’d love to own one now!!
Gemini will feature in my line up - I’m trying to keep mine chronological.
they look more like skies to me then a board but any way
my second car
my second card
it was spec s aus version..
lol see the similarities
and now
my card
mazda 3 neo
its not even worth putting the pic up of it.
At this stage I had left school, got a job and my first loan ($5000).
How I convinced dad to let me buy this is amazing -he must have been drunk- he even guaranteed the loan!
FJ40 Landcruiser with heavily worked 350 chev.
He tried to steer me toward a modified yellow nissan silva. Back in those day no real petrol head drove a modified Jap car.
The thing was a beast - called it “troglodite”. Eventually I did break it, which is expected since I would launch it out of dry dam walls and bush bash the thing. I even drove it down Bulli Pass without breaks to go surfing.
I sold it for $2000 firing only on 7cylinders and a moaning diff. Wish I could find an actual pic of it with it’s 90’s graphics stuck down the side.
Drag raced it once against a RX4 and the FJ40 beat it over 1/8!
I briefly had a LC torana that I was given still with rego from a car salesman boyfriend mum had. It kept me on the road for 6 months.
After that I scored a mates older brothers Morris Mini Cooper that he had built from the ground up as a CooperS.
I never got it on the road.
Gave that to his father inlaw in exchange for my first VW. 1955 baja bug, rag top with “PORKEY” number plates.
This is close to how it looked. VERY CLOSE!
I did heaps of work on this myself including painting it Telecom Gold.
Drove it a few times to QLD, heaps of beach driving and many memories. With the big 4WD rear wheels it had good top speed.
After selling it I went a few years without owning a car until my late 20’s. I drove the Astra a lot because dad bought his Troopy.
He still has the troopy which I’ve done incredible amounts of work to. It’s in pristine condition even though we have racked up 1000’s of k’s off road. Every few years we spend weeks in the Vic Alpine Country.
My current vehicle
But you’ve all seen that before
We had an old red Holden Commodore when I was a kid. This is probably the earliest car I still have a memory of.

After that we had a Toyota Camry, same colour and very similar model to the one below. This is the car I learnt to drive on.
I have been driving a Toyota Corolla for the last 9 years, same colour and similar model as below.
My dad’s car when I was a kid looked a lot like this one. Pretty gutless and completely devoid of any safety apparatus, but a true 4WD.
My own first car was something like this. Nothing to be proud of but it served me well including many trips to the snow (it found that hard going!)

my old man also had one of these! It was like a tank, could take it anywhere, except for one ill fated 4x4 expeditian where we got it bogged in a bush track, dad had to walk out to find help, eventually found a farm many hours later and the guy pulled us out with his tractor. It was sold not too long after that, i think my mum spending 3 or so hours with 3 kids in a stranded car in the middle of a boggy marsh with leaches the size of snakes attacking anyone foolish enough to venture outside the safety of the cars confinds might have had something to do with it leaving our ownership
That car Muddy ^^^^^, I had one sitting in the yard at work for years, serious rust problems.
I decided to take to the tip, poured 5 litres of petrol in, grabbed a battery for it out of my cruiser to get it started, fired on 3rd try
Removed battery while it was still running and headed off to the tip. My apprentice was following in a Mazda Bravo cab / chassis 2.2 litre. There was a short steep hill on the way, so I gave it shit and the ute didn’t even look at the old Datto

My Old Man had one of these as a Company Car!!!!!
First car I ever drove!!!!! (Around a paddock when I was 13/14)
I thought it was an awesome car!!!!!
