I have driven past that place soooo many times, but have never once stopped to check it out!!!!!
Right if i go into a store someone needs to come with me!!!
Id come on my day off.. But a) I have no idea what you would need.. And wouldn’t want you to end up with a board you don’t like once you got it to the mountain, they aren’t exactly a cheap mistake if you don’t like it.. And b) I guarantee I would walk out with a few things.. Possibly another board myself haha
Having said that. I’m still happy to come look I just lack the advice others on here have.. (and id leave my.wallet at home lol)

I’ve got the 151 Rome blue sitting here that your welcome to (the one you rode at CP…actually that was also the bindings too) but its reasonably stiff for a chicks board and cambered. Not magnatraction but has their side edge tech etc.
Hmmm I did actually like that board I remember.
Oh I am so confused! But it wasn’t like I did much on that board LOL
Maybe I should try it before investing in a board??
Cambered Boards are fine to learn on, oz!!!!!
Just make sure the contact points are de-tuned and it will be less likely to catch an edge on it!!!!!
I’d be more than happy to give it a tune & de-tune whatever ya end up gettin!!!!! If ya haven’t done it before, that is!!!!!
Go for it hun. Its already detuned and that way you can have a go, if you like it great if not give it back and pick up something else during the season. Three always people selling boards on the notice board in jindy (also the ski sale at the hall I’ve been to that with vetty). Also can check out rhythm etc for any good deals. Mind you Im also happy to go shopping…never need an excuse there. Besides its the most snow excitement I’ll get this year. It will be my first season without going down in 18 years sniff sniff!
I was thinking about it. I think your board was actually the first board I rode with bindings with toe box.
I actually think that made me feel “safer”
But i do remember I chucked a tanty at TJ when he set me up on a camber board which i hated (didn’t find out later that it was cambered so wasn’t biased) it also may have been been a board with none toe box bindings.

You mean like a toe/cap strap????? That goes around the front/top of the toe box of the boot?????

I’d presume the same mizu maybe the original bindings just had a thin plastic toe strap that had to go over the top of the boot rather than the more plushy toe straps that you can wear in a variety of positions?
Coop3s offer sounds like the way to go oz, as you board more you’ll develop a better idea of what kind of riding you want to do and more specifically what you want in a board.

Toe box/toe cap
see nthn missus bindings how they have a strap that goes over the middle part of the foot? they are traditional binding straps.
Toe caps are being used on most bindings these days, the are a strap with a “cap” in the middle which sits snugly over the front of your boots (toe box). They provide a better connection to your board (arguably) as the pressure is pulling your boots towards the heel cup as well as downward pressure.
Toe box is the front part of your boot, toe cap/strap is part of the binding
