Nothing great. I had lots of footage messed up by sticky snow face shots that covered the lens. I think it’s because of the shorter nose on the board. Other shots were ruined from the camera pointing too far down
I climbed Mt. kuwasaki again last sunday. Here’s a short edit:
I want to be you!!!
ha ha. thanks. However, today’s peak made Kuwasaki a walk in the park. 6 hours straight up, walking past bear tracks and bear poo (quite scary actually), then 3 hours in crampons with ice axe (included in the original 6), with an extra hour of sketchy downclimb to where there ‘should be’ a non-cliffed out entry. I couldn’t see down far enough down the meter-wide ridge to see if it actually linked up to where I wanted to ride.
the red is the peak (akatani yama) and the blue line is my line. I reached the peak from the left. It’s a gopro grab so it looks smaller than it is.
top of the line:
and the gopro footage is crappy :(
and pics don’t show up :(
quote me for the links
i tried to view the imgs off the links by quoting but they wernt there either. the reason they dont show up might have something to with the privacy of your photos, or just using a generic address on a flash based application
Nice!
It’s hard to explain the difference between just getting fresh tracks and riding a whole mountain that’s untouched. Frothing just watching
Where is this mountain?
it’s Mt. Kuwasaki in Toyama prefecture. It’s the peak above the raicho valley ski resort (my home mountain).
but seriously, it’s not a good ride. The hike to ride ratio sucks. It’s just appealing because it’s a difficult hike and it’s local.
I can’t get the pics either
Sounds bloody hardcore to me!! Where do I sign up?
stayed up late last night working on the new edit. it’s maybe 80% done, just need some more cutting
