Hey guys. Sorry for putting up a thread like this with so few posts under our belt.
Just wanted to let you know about our new binding company “Strewth Snowboards”, and the launch campaign we are running, starting today.
Our first product is a new binding with some innovative tech, and you can see more details here:
http://www.indiegogo.com/strewthsnowboard
Our aim at the moment is to raise enough funds to complete the design and get an initial production run happening. We are already in talks with the factories and the main hurdle is to cover the cost of tooling and getting the first bindings manufactured.
We’re asking just $185 for a pair of first run bindings. We’ve kept the price as low as possible to cover costs, and basically get the tools made, which can then be used for future prod runs.
So please take a look and get on board if you can. Where else can you get bindings for $185?
We really need your support and appreciate anything you can do to help get a new Aussie company up and running.
Also, welcome any feedback you’ve got. The binding shown is a prototype and there is plenty of room for improvement between now and production, so please put your suggestions/questions forward.
Cheers

Best of luck with everything, UncleHulka! I will be following this closely.
Looks really cool. I’m not normally a fan of step in bindings but if they work as it says on the site, they could be a real hit.
I am thinking about getting a pair, we will see if I have enough money once I get paid
I’ve only got 1 good pair, might as well have a spare for when I take friends riding. (whether I use these or my current pair would be after I see how good they are).
Great looking binding.
How much testing have you done so far?
Welcome a board UncleHulka!!!!!
I saw ya vid that was posted by another member in the gear thread, and my first observation was that they don’t seem to have an allowance for Highback rotation!!!!!
Is this true?????
Yeah, I’d love to see a video of top to bottom on a run in powder click them in, ride to the bottom and click out.
Then after a day’s riding, trying to put them on and take them off.
I just feel like a tiny chunk of ice in the wrong place could make these painful to use.
Interesting…
Looks pretty cool.
If there are no downsides to performance and durability should be on to a winner. Good luck!
good to see another Aus brand coming about in the snow industry! for $185 im pretty sure im gonna get myself a pair when the funds allow it!
Good luck with it all boys.
I actually think the name has potential (it’ll grow on you), and I’d be stoked to see an Aussie binding company get off the ground.

I would like to see some of this footage TJ mentions before i will be willing to invest
Great idea and love any thing home grown. $185 is a good deal.
Are these going to be tested on mountain? Australia and Europe?
Hi Azz. We’ve done a fair bit of testing with a small group of riders. We’ll be looking to get some production samples ready for this winter and get them under as many riders as possible. The testing so far has been on prototypes, which are not production material or as strong, and so far they have gone well. We’ll be looking for Boardworld members who would like to give them a caning.
Mizu. This particular prototype does not have highback rotation. We’ve given this some thought, and it is something that will be included in the future, but the first model probably won’t have it. We may look into compensating with asymetric highbacks instead. TBC
TJswish. Snow getting jammed has been a big focus in the design so far. We think we’ve addressed it pretty well. Some more testing will be needed to fine tune it. We’ve made it easy to clear out if it does happen.
Cheers guys
You know what, i am waiting on a few invoices to be paid. once they are i think i may just give this a nudge.
I would love to do some testing for you. If you pop a set in the mail to us, myself, and two teenage boys will give them a good workout at Hotham, you can ask the BW crew, Wildman rips and will give them a real test out. We all ride M/L
My wife, Tambo on here, was very interested and would be happy to test, she would need a S/M though.
If we can help out, let us know
I’m against the name for now, who knows it might grow on me like chucky says but in my personal opinion right now, it’s no good. That being said though, if the product works as good as you say, it will do the selling itself not the name.
Also I’m heading to Japan in just over 2 weeks and would love to test them there in some deeeeep pow for you and give you some honest feedback and then afterwards if be happy to return or pass on the bindings to someone else to test aswell if you’d like
