whooooooooooooo. board came. bindings havent yet though :( so gonna have to wait a while for them since im in townsville next week for work.
many thanks to Jez (rider) and STMOnline for hooking me up. Only problem being that I’m not heading to NZ until August… so many months will be spent admiring my new sick board.
Nice!!!!!
good one, mate, never heard a bad report about that board.
Wicked looking deck!
Damn, that is nice! Tempted to buy one just because it looks so good.
Seriously mate, are you sure you want to ruin the look of such a great looking board with that huge Burton stomp pad???
DaKine Ninja Studs work really well, and they look cool too.

interesting, thanks chucky, will keep in mind.
also, apart from waxing, do I need to do anything with the board in terms of tuning etc?
Check the nose and tail to see if the edges are sharp or dull (they shouldn’t be sharp). It’s known as ‘detuning’, and I’m not sure Arbor boards come factory detuned. This diagram shows roughly which parts need detuning:
Tip your board up on its side. The bits that touch the ground are your ‘contact points’. They are signified by the blue lines in the diagram. The red lines indicate where you should stop detuning (no more than 10mm inside your contact points). I use a file when I detune, but there are alternatives - like sharpening stones.
Of course, another must before riding your new board is to whack a couple of Boardworld stickers on it.

bit worried about the overhang, what do you guys think?
Unless you’re carving like a pro, I don’t think you’ll have any issues.
The only issue is that you don’t have your boot properly centred. You have more toe than heel overhang, so you need to move your heel back a bit.

yeah, thats what im thinking now. but the way i had it before i was thinking there was too much heel overhang so moved the bindings forward. I will move it back and post photos later tonight and see what you guys think. cheers for the comments.

+1. You’ll have no issues with that overhang.
