lol…stop making it even harder for me. it’s a pity that the rome 390 boss doesnt come in a bluish colour

I reckon these would look sweet on that board?????

Especially with Black Boots!!!!! (I reckon Black Boots only go with either Black or White Bindings)

Hey Xdfubar

I haven’t ridden the Blacklist but I can highly recommend the Arbor Westmark.

I love Arbor as a brand period. I keep trying different boards and I always come back to Arbor. Right now I’m on my 3rd arbor - an Arbor Relapse because I wanted to move to camber, but I was riding the Westmark up until the start of last season in Perisher.

Great in Aus, great in Canada. I can’t say enough about this board, it’s my favourite rocker by far.

I rode the 159 and I am almost the same stats as you. 80 - 85kg, 195cm, size 12 boots.
The only difference is you are a little shorter so one size down might be a better fit (provided the width and weight restrictions are still okay).

The reason this board kicks ass, is it’s super easy to butter and press on. It’s catch free cause it’s a rocker (so learning tricks will be easier and less painful), but it can carve with similar grip to a flat board because of the grip tech edges. That same tech allows you to ride a narrower board with your bigger boots because it widens out underfoot.

I passed my level 2 instructor exams on this board.

At the level of riding you are at and for years to come there are no disadvantages to this board.

Get it, get it, get. it.

Hey xdfubar,

I see you’ve bought the Arbour in a 156. Smart decision. What did you decide on for bindings? Seriously bro - those blue Cartels would be killer, and STM are just about to get new stock, so they’ll have the Larges again.

How did you see? I’ve gone ahead with the 2013 Rome Boss bindings in White. See pic above!
I’m a bit particular with the toe strap and I hear good things about the Rome Boss ones. (I’ve only been snowboarding once before at Perisher, for 7 days, but man those rental toe straps peed me off).

I also figured the 3xcant system that come with the Boss range will help me. I’ve done both MCLs in my knees previously playing football, so any help there is a bonus.

I will post pics when everything arrives!

It’s a killer setup for a first board! You must be frothing!!! Definitely post pics!

Such a nice looking board too - so make sure you don’t mess up the look with a big ugly stomp pad or anything like that.  shaka

Pretty much…what’s going to suck the most is the setup just sitting there until August….
Jeremy did recommend a clear stomp pad, so I did go with that. The rental board I had last year @ Perisher had one as well and I found it useful.

This is the worst thing ever. Last time I bought a new board was at the end of the season as well. Lucky the indoor park in Melb. was still open at the time. 38`C here today, wish it was still open lol.
