Bliz, Michelle really enjoyed Bridesmaids. She said it was really funny. MY grandma said it was rude with too much swearing.  LOL

I hate the movie previews on TV and especially the long ones at the movies. They show the whole movie in like three minutes. You basically get to know the whole story line minus the conclusion. It’s so stupid! I know you need to entice people to see the movie but it’s a joke how much they show. Seriously turns me off seeing the movie.

Did anyone watch Super 8? I really wanted to see it but missed out. I’ll have to wait for DVD.

We watched X-Men Origins a few weeks ago. I really liked it. Interesting story line. The only weird part was the little cameo by Teacher Boy (Wolverine). Magneto and Professor X are playing teenagers in the movie and Wolverine is the same age as the last few movies. Technically he shouldn’t even be born yet. Huh…

I like ya Grandma’s style!!!!

I reckon that there is way too much swearin in some of these comedies, these days!!!!

I am not a prude, and have been known to let off a string of expleatives on occasion, that would make a Broken Hill Hooker blush, but I don’t enjoy watchin movies that try hard and get laughs purely from profanity and porn!!!!

Probably why I didn’t like movies such as 40 year old virgin and the hangover, to name a couple of examples!!!!

I can watch them, but just dont find em that funny!!!!

Watched larry Crowne the other night, was ok but nowhere near as good as their last movie together Charlie Wilsons War.

Saw Transformers, was ok, bit all the same as the other ones really.

Bridesmaids was horrible, not funny at all I thought.

Super 8 Was ok but kinda dumb, seemed more aimed at kids.

Captain America I didn’t even watch the whole thing, saw bits and pieces and only really paid attention when Tommy lee Jones was in the scene, the other actors were great cardboard cutouts.

I agree fully, but there are so many pumped out movies in this genre that are try hard copies of one and other!!!!

One of my fave all time cd’s to listen to is a Derek and Clive album, and every second word is either the F or C bomb!!!!

Originality is the key to a great entertainer!!!!

I hate that how they play the whole movie in the preview! My cuz and I always crack the shits bout it. Less is more. Give a little taste of what the movie might be bout and nothing more!

Did you see X-Men Firstclass, or Wolverine? If Magneto and Pro X are teenagers, then you saw First Class the new film. Wolverine was one film before that, and it explains why Wolverine would be old in Origins. It makes sense

Haha woops! I see I combined two movies there. I meant X-Men First Class.  teacherboy

Watched Black Swan the other night and loved it!

When we were trawling the aisles of the video store and my wife picked it out I groaned, but it was actually a totally messed up physco movie with some steamy girl on girl action tongue wink

Def worth a watch, not the soppy chick flick I thought it would be…

Also watched Taken the other day for the first time. Awesome fight choreography!! Liam Neeson seriously kicks ass in this film.. who’d a thunk it!

......

Doh wait .. this is only supposed to be about NEW movies at the cinema..  teacherboy  oops

That’s too bad. I assume you watched it as a download, another Country, or in a state/territory before it was released in ACT/anyways (can’t imagine we’d be behind in anything…) But Seriously, were you expecting like super cgi? I assume you were a general movie patron, not expecting a movie concerning a 1940’s era type atmosphere/hero, and i wouldn’t want to downplay Tommy L J’s performance, but he WAS a Base-Cast Military General depicted fighting the Axis powers of World War II.
The comic was first released in 1941.

I mean no disrespect to nthnbeachesguy, Snowdragon had to vent his opinion in this occasion. it does not require agreement.
Nothing to see here people.. move along..

No download, I have magic cable tv that is able to play latest release movies and stuff…............................

Na I just didn’t rate it, I dun reckon that guy could carry a movie and other than TLJ the actors were garbage.  But what would I know, my version of a good time right now is listening to Tom Petty whilst drinking CC and Dry, so what would I know about taste?
