Highly recommended! I have these with different graphics. So sick. They are made up of the genesis base plate and ankle strap (soooo money) with the cartel highback, gettagrip toe strap and autocant footbed.
I have the genesis too (which are now for sale) but I found that not feeling your highback doesn’t do much. I prefer the cartel highback, so these are the perfect set. Australia even has a cool AC/DC graphic!

What’s the deal with buying separate parts for bindings? Can I buy like just the straps by themselves and throw them on?
Yep you can. I emailed Burton rider services and it’s 45-50 dollars including shipping to canada for the genesis ankle straps. So I’m guessing the straps themselves are around 20 bucks.
Sure, in North America you can. I reckon it’d be way more trouble than it’s worth in Australia.
I’d love to demo some different ankle straps on my restricted cartels. I’ll have a look into it, maybe the Burton rental place at Showcase will let me demo some for a day.
I assumed Genesis because the footbeds in the supplied pics appear to be more similar, and because the price is closer to Cartels than the Diodes.

2013 Diode and Genesis baseplates and straps look the same (but the Diode baseplate is stiffer)
We’ll have to speak to the burton guys to see which one they are actually using for the Regional Cartels or if it is a “Cartel like” flex in a genisis/diode mold….

I can save you the trouble. It’s a genesis baseplate with the cartel autocant footbed, with the ‘13 cartel highback, genesis/diode ankle strap and regular cartel gettagrip toestrap
