I seem to suffer from heat exhaustion/exposure really easily, so I can’t be out in the sun for more than a couple of hours at a time without suffering later on…Even with sunscreen, hats etc. Plus, if we were still at our house at Norah Head, you’d get heat exhaustion from being inside - worst house, ever.
I’m much better off over here, for sure!
im the opposite, i love being in the sun!
The lack of humidity and cloud cover made today not so bad, having the last week of high temps was good prep for sure but a few things today were strange:
Normally the temp drops around 10?C between Bulli Tops and Thirroul (300m elevation drop in 5min) but not today - it stayed a consistant 38?C
Leaving the doors of the restaurant closed is not normal but did today. We are the bottom floor of a big building and the slab it all sits on stayed well below the outside temp - even in the kitchen.
One a/c unit doesn’t have a drain so we collect water in a bucket and have to keep close eye so it doesn’t overflow, usually empty it twice in a shift - not tonight it only filled 1/3 and it was a long shift.
Leaving work at 11.30pm it was 29?C normally it cools as I head west away from the ocean. Right now 12.30am it’s 34?C at home. So glad I left the a/c on in the shack.
