Here is my entry for the short film contest titled ‘For’.

Basically the film is about the mind set of a snowboarder living in a place which doesn’t get snow, in this case Sydney, and imagining the possibilities if it did snow.  In the end the only real way to fix this problem is to head to the snowfields, in this case Falls Creek.

Hope you all enjoy watching it.  Feedback would be great.

Very cool! It captures how I feel right now :(
And where I want to be shaka

yo homie nice vid, you use a steadycam, or glidecam in thins?? or just a slider, backdrop of falls looks so good to film…

Thanks guys.  Mitch, for the sliding shots (dolly shots) I used a Glidetrack, and for the free-motion/steady cam shots I used a Glidecam HD-2000.

I got mine on http://www.bhphotovideo.com for about $450USD I think. There is a cheaper model but the HD Series are ALOT easier to balance, and considering how much of a pain they are to balance, I would recommend spending the extra cash.  Very hard to use in the beggining, Im still learning how to use it properly, but the final shot is worth it.
