yeah thats the volcano in iceland…havoc for travellers in europe at the moment
i have seen a few pictures over the years of volcanic eruptions…the lightning is for real, i believe it’s generated by the ash creating static and maybe the different pressures and temperatures playing a part too?
im no vulcanologist…but it looks impressive

yeah i understand what you mean about photoshop, but if you got to the site and check the rest of the pics…they are all pretty much the same. i think the lightning has acted as a massive flash to freeze the plume of smoke and ash….while the star trails are legit.
