Hahaha that emu got me good
you guys are killing me! Hot Buttered wasn’t a cool brand? How about BZ & Hot Tuna?
hot buttered wasn’t cool when i was a kid
late in my teens they started bringing out some good boards and i think they became “cooler”, but then i was buying my own clothes and i aint/couldn’t paying $50 for a tshirt
BZ always made good boards, but the clothing wasn’t big
hot tuna had all the fish skeletons on their gear it think??
i think insight, quicksilver, billabong, rusty were the brands at the time
How is Rusty doing these days? Last time I was in Oz (2 years ago) I didn’t get a good impression.
still around, but not as prominent as they were
they used to make sick cargo pants
best pair of snowboard pants i had too (10years ago)
Believe it or not, Hot Buttered are still around and re-branded as HB and make some excellent bodyboards and have quite a good bunch of team riders repping them. They put out pretty sick vimeo vids featuring their team every now and then.
BZ still make good boards and have Jeff Hubbard still as their number 1 team rider and he is killing it on the World Tour.

Geez Caboose don’t tell me you are as old as mizu and me?
MU
HB is doing very well out of the current retro board phase, think TF’s retro boards with sprays are going for $1200 or more.
Rusty are still good - i got two pairs of their cargos in different colours (though a 30 in one colour is waaay bigger than the other) and a pair of shorts…that look like the cargos.
All this HB talk reminds me of…Kuta Lines.

Us grampops are totally retro!
I have an old Mad Dog board - can I get $1200 for it? any buyers? It has channels, is a thruster and I ride it when all my other boards are out of action.
Starting bids at $1000
