They’ve release the sale here now http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/holidays/japanski?utm_source=jetmail&utm_medium=email&utm_content=TokyoClickHereText&utm_campaign=Japan_Ski_Sale_20110831
I was ready to book until I got to the valid after 26th January bit. I can only travel during the school holidays so was aiming for mid January so back to the drawing board for me!
Arrrgaaaaahhhhh
So i booked my return flight on ff…. now looking at my out bound flight and I didn’t realise that the fares are linked to the return tix (ie you can’t get cheap one ways - very old school!)
So as at today I can either but a one ticket to Tokyo only for about $1200 or return for around $1400.
Cancel my FF return leg and book return as above - or book return flights on ff (and lose my business class - no shopping in Tokyo!!)
Or book Jetstar to Osaka, but will i not get a cheap fare for internal flights if i go Osaka - Sapporo - Tokyo (either airport?)
confused
didnt you book all your flights already when it was 1200 via Qantas
yeah singles are always more expensive
**meh was going to look at jetstar but the site keeps crashings
No I was just sharing my research.
I only booked one way back to OZ on FF.
Jetstar to Osaka worked out at $600 with baggage and meals.
oh ...my bad
i think Osaka and Tokyo to sapporo is about roughly the same price
however, single tickets are expensive than return tickets
i think Osaka and Tokyo to sapporo is about roughly the same price
for return to the same departure place?
Single tickets having to be osaka to saporro to Tokyo?
So do you reckon i should cancel the ff flight?
sorry for being confusing
Return tickets from
Osaka to sapporo
tokyo to sapporo
are about the same price
return = come back to same place
Do you lose your FF if you cancel it?
why are you choosing osaka for jetstar flights
the site finally worked and it showed 519 to tokyo excluding baggage
so probably around 600 to Tokyo
Its okay - i think i am probably being confusing too! I have hit a wall of exhaustion today!
I went with Osaka as I couldn’t find appropriate flights on the days i wanted to travel to Tokyo.
I lose 5,000 frequent flyer points if I cancel - not sure about the taxes?

Is that price ($600) from Sydney OZ girl
the difference between jetstar to Osaka then Kansai >>sapporo>>tokyo vs Tokyo>>Sapporo>>tokyo
is probably less than dropping your FF flight
how much were you expecting to pay to go for domestic flights to Sapporo anyway?
No I was just sharing my research.
