I do really like the idea of a BW meet up.

There is a Boardworld Ride week happening as we speek in Thredbo. But there hasnt been anything organised for a meet up at the City Snow Park. I think its a great idea to organise a BW meet up there. I wont be able to for about another month. Might look into organising something later in the year

Sounds awesome, i’ll be there for sure. I’m going to try and get down there at least once a week.

Not yet! I’m ordering my snowboard and bindings next week, and hopefully getting my boots sometimes then too, so I should be fine in a month or so.
You won’t be alone. I’ve never ridden a park before, so it will be a first!

Awesome smile

Is that gonna hang around all year?

Im not sure how long they have the lease for

I read somewhere that the lease if for 4 years smile

If all goes well then hopefully they’ll either extend the lease, or relocate to a permanent location.

I think the longterm plan was to have a more permanent location. I wonder how pricey it is and how offten they have to make snow to keep it running

Apparently membership is 66 dollars, then 25 dollars an hour. Apparently.

I think that is quite pricey, but it is an expensive sport that requires forking out a lot of money, so I’m not too surprised.

breakdown how many hours you ride at buller and how much a lift ticket and fuel and entry cost. Pretty relative really. But yeh still not cheap, but once you pay the $66, its only the once for that and its $25 other times. better than no snow! and yeh it cant be cheap to run the place

I’m the same! Only started riding park this season, so this might be out of my depth for the moment. Still keen to go check it out though.

Just on the price thing, it may seem a bit expensive, but I think after you’ve paid your $66 then $25p/hr is not too bad. I went to Eastern Creek Karts while I was in Sydney a few weeks ago, and they were charging about $85 for half an hour. I guess it depends what you’re into.

Think I might dust off the camera and head down there next weekend.  shaka
