The BOARDWORLD Forums ran from 2009 to 2021 and are now closed and viewable here as an archive
The riding is insane, Travis is out of this world, Lando and Nico also has crazy parts. The movie itself could’ve been better but I think the snowboarding makes up for it.
its spectacular
I’m so excited to see it!
Is it in stores yet?
Where did u guys see it?
I’m in Canada & it’s downloadable from iTunes. I’m on my 3rd viewing already.
Pretty stoked on how it turned out, I think a good balance between documentary and shred film.
I’m hanging out for the Sydney premiere. Can’t wait to see it.
DVDs should be in stores in November.
So excited!
I tried to download it from itunes but found it somewhere else . . . its amazing though
My favorite part is Trav and Nico’s part in BC and also the very last part of Rice where Jeremy Jones said “get out of town, are you kidding me”.
yeah i wanted to buy it off itunes but USA only… so i downloaded it. was willing to pay the 9 bucks too!
i liked the riding, but same as TITA…it’s a bit of a snooze fest. if i see one more slo mo heli shot, i’ll die!
the section in jackson was INSANE. and the revelstoke part with mueller was pretty awesome.
the pipe section was meh
the patagonia bit was just ludicrous, but documented the trials and tribulations of filming in remote/new locations
we had a laugh at the redneck downtime, but it ran a little long. pretty much this was similar to robot food with the redneck wrestling. stuff that could be in the bonus features on the dvd but they put in as filler.
the filming was awesome though, they put those RED cameras to good use. but again too much slo-mo. i mean how many times do you need to see slo mo of someone on the run in to a jump rather than actually in the air. slo mo should be used for that and pow…which they did do a bit of and was probably the part of the film i was just stoked to see, i could watch slomo pow turns all day.
also the opener was awesome with rice, jackson and landvik. balls to the wall tricks going on in there on gnarly terrain, but it took 6 minutes to get to it.
sorry if this seems like a downer, but i just was so amped to see it and just felt that little bit let down, not by the riders or the mind blowing stuff they were pulling off, but by the overly long edit.
i will say this though, the sound track was spot on from the opening riding to the end.
overall 7/10 enthusiastic thumbs up
whens the sydney prem, Rider?
I’ll find out more next week. I think it’s in October sometime. It’s being put on by Red Bull and I have heard the man himself, Travis Rice, will be there. It might be an industry only event, however I will do whatever I can to get additional tickets for you guys. If there’s a limited amount, we might have to hold a contest to win them. That said, I don’t know too much right now. I will be speaking to the Red Bull guys soon and I will let you know.
How can you wait for 1 month rider26???!! Go donwloadddd hahaha. Back to the movie, I thought the slo-mo was ok, at least the actual riding was not slo-moed.

Sweet, well I’m in for the sydney premier if we can get in!
I’m part of the industry… kinda.
Anyway, I would drive to sydney just to try and bullshit my way in. I’ll just act like someone important and put on a foreign accent. They’ll never know…
If anyone asks, my name is Andy Horgmo
I’ve paused it now. It’s unbearable compared to Thats It Thats All.
The soundtrack is terrible.
Exciting news on the cinema screening front, not only will there be a premiere with the riders attending, but Art of Flight will actually screen in regular selected cinema’s for a period of time! It’s definitely worth holding out to see it on the big screen!
Tickets to the premiere will be hard to come by, I’ll see what I can score for you Jeremy, but a boardworld social screening event in a regular cinema would be perfect! I think the prem is around Oct 10th, and screenings commence soon after that
