Didn’t even know that “Auslan” even existed!!!!!
Learn somethin new every day!!!!!
I just went to get my iPad, to report that “snow is falling lightly in the village!”
I can no longer do that, because snow is no longer falling lightly in the village.
Nope, in the time it took for me to type this, it’s now falling HEAVILY in the village, and it looks like it’s bucketing up high!!!
Oh yay!!!!
Hell Yeah!!!!!
Keep those type of reports comin Chucky!!!!!
so good to hear winter isnt over! (even though i technically know it is) LIKE A BOSS
is there still room at the shred? my mate timo from finland just arrived in oz for 2.5 months with no plans and wants to ride. i have to work next week and got TAFE this weekend and next (GRGRRGGGRRGRGRRRR) so was wondering if anyone could take him along for the BW shred…technically he is a member as he joined here ages ago.
So here’s the deets. It stopped snowing in the village shortly after I posted, but luckily it’s been on and off ever since - heavily at times.
Now? Well, there"s not much snow ‘falling’ in the village at the moment. Why? Because it’s just kind of hovering - yep, it’s that light/dry!
Smiley faces all round?
Like these????

So little time, so might have to make a new thread in the Social pages so it gets immediate attention!!!!!
But I’m sure he’ll have no dramas gettin a lift/bed!!!!!
I shred it nicely, too!
Lov the pic of the manmade at cruiser, how much am I kicking myself for not being up there for the early!?
Missed having a shred with you by 5min on tuesday. When I got there at 10:30 it was still fast and fresh.
I did supertrail, Sponars, Antons (best of the mountain), Crusier and village trail traverse. In the afternoon I missed Karels by 5min.Managed to get a shred in early yesterday.
silent ‘speaks’ Auslan - it’s his first language English is his second.
After a quick google I found Auslan and was amazed at how easy it is. Most of us already know most of it already.
The app is free and works quick.I couldn’t find a sign for “shred” or “nicely”
Glad I caught you as I firstly spot your unique board, realised it was you…
Another awesome day with snow shower started 10am, I slide with my boys most of time at Cruiser. they are so keen doing their new tricks me too…
It was nice chat with you.
Auslan is australia deaf’s own signing langauges, but other counties has their own signing langauge so different to our.
yeh mate, he had his voicebox ripped out by a liger.
i apologise Silent for my earlier post^^^,
i had no idea.
thats OK no worries mate…
Hey silent, sorry I didn’t catch up with you again today. I had a pretty ordinary morning. So good riding today?
Sooooooooo, it was blizzarding bigtime up high from about 4.45 onwards.
How do I know this? Well, as it happens, I was last on the Kosi chair for the day (it closes at 4.30) - and halfway between Kareela Hutte and Eagles Nest the chair stopped moving. It turns out the chair had just broken down, but of course I had no way of knowing that. Is it just me, or is over 15 minutes a tad too long for Thredbo staff to wait before letting me know they were actually aware I was still on the chair?
20 mins would’ve felt like an eternity!!!!!
I saw the Merrits Cam at about that same time, and could see the snow start to cover the wood chips!!!!!
When I think about it, it was probably somewhere between 15-20 minutes. The first 5 minutes felt like 5 minutes, the next felt like 10, and it increased exponentially.
