Omg hope he recovers
Oh no, that is just horrible. Such a tragic accident. My thoughts are with the little fella and his family. I hope the surgery is a complete success. Really sorry to hear it, Billy.

Thanks Rider
Just got this text from Ez (my best mate) who got it from her cousin - “8 long hours in surgery they have answered our prayers - his arm is back on and alive he has only got three fingers. Not out of the woods yet they next two to three weeks will tell”
Poor little bugger
Well thats good news! Fingers crossed for him and love to the family. Recovery can be a long hard road.
Not the same but our dog got attacked by another dog. We almost lost him. The owners of the other dog couldn’t care less. They were like “of he is just playing…” Yeah NO!
We no longer speak to these people. I can’t bring myself to.
Soooo… I’ve been away for awhile (1 month :D) and guess what I’m back
First some explanation why I was away aka my past month of vacation:
In the beginning of august I went surfing(/partying) for 10 days(I’ll post a small report in surf section soon )
then I slept for 2 days
-long sad part incoming about the same subject-
and then I went to Pukkelpop(one of the biggest festivals in Belgium with around 60000 visitors a day, most of them camping, normally 3 days of music + 2 extra camp days) or at least I would have:
the first night/evening a huge storm went up and it went from rain to hail to pure disaster
because of the massive winds 1 tent fully collapsed, a shelter broke, equipment on main-stage was soaked as hell, a tree(which has been standing their for more then 20 years; it was a big tree) fell down on a promo-stand, a branch fell down on a tent which caused the roof to tear and as last(but I probably forgot stuff) Pukkelpop was made in big letters and hung up overhanging the section between 2 parts of the festival ground, this also came down
The latest numbers I heard where: 5 deaths and 140 wounded people! R.I.P.
Fortunately I was standing at the front-stage on open ground and I got away with my back bruised by the hail.
The festival got cancelled, a decision I fully support. And I even had the luck I could go home the same night.
The organisation can’t be blamed! Storms like these are very rarely seen here and we had bad luck that the heavy part just came down on the festival.
video’s if you want to see it
-end of long sad part-
Then for the past 1.5 week I’ve been partying and hanging out with friends a lot so no real time for forums
Within 2 weeks school will start again for me; I’ll be going to college for my first year so I’m pretty exited
And since I’ll be studying ICT I’ll have my laptop(a new one; Dell XPS 17” ) around a lot so I’ll see if I have some holes that I can fill up with Boardworld
I’m in no doubt that I missed soooo much here so if anyone is so kind to catch me up
and well… I’m back
Welcome back, Scarface!!!!!
Sounds like a terrible event for all involved!!!!!
Welcome back man, was just thinking yesterday where yourself and sucka went. At least you are back sucks about your festival…
Well most people got away with material damage; the camping was a swamp; but for those who are relatives off the people who didn’t make it, and even of those who “just” got injured, I think it was indeed terrible. Plus the press came in trying to find someone to point the finger at, looking for mistakes, asking the same questions over and over again. If I wasn’t peace minded I could have punched them.
And I forgot: the main reason why I was there—Rise Against—(they’ve changed the way I live..) was about to play in 30min when the storm started; I was looking out for that moment for almost 2 years so I was somewhat angry and lost when they announced they canceled the shows
But I’m talking a lot but it just feels good to tell this to somewhat strangers ^^
but now some sleep it’s 2pm here ^^

Weed doesn’t die ^^
Welcome back!
Glad you managed to enjoy your holidays all the same.
I heard about that festival and the damage etc. It was right after the one in the states I think. So any wonder they were trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill (the media don’t seem to understand the word coincident!)
crazy about that festival, scarface!
I went and saw Anberlin last night…I think its probably the 7th or 8th time I’ve seen them. So damn good. Its 2 years since I saw them last (I missed them in march cos of my wedding!) and I definitely noticed how old I’ve gotten in the those 2 years! I felt at least 5 years older than every other “kid” in the mosh…but I didn’t care - front and centre, baby!
Stephen Christian is an amazing performer…I’ll post a vid up in the “what I’m listening to now” thread for those who haven’t heard them. I wish they were on again in sydney tonight because I would go again!
the main reason why I was there—Rise Against—(they’ve changed the way I live..) quote]
saw them about a month and a half ago for the 4th or so time…jealous? haha they are prob one of my favourite live acts. just behind (in no particular order) metallica, daft punk & Rage against the machine
Welcome back, Scarface. Sorry to hear about the festival. Tragic that lives were lost.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
I have a huge day/night tomorrow for my mate’s buck’s party. Meeting at 3pm, $200 per person, everyone is pumped… I can only imagine what’s going to happen. Should be a lot of fun. Michelle has the hen’s night tomorrow as well, so Sunday is the designated hangover day.
I have work drinks tonight so tomorrow is the designated day for me…
