This is what my mate in NZ does for a job at Mt Ruapehu:
A tad more challenging than your average lifty.
Yeah, stuff that job!!!!!
Tough job but someones gotta do it so we can ski - opps i mean board
I reckon it’d be a great gig, because once you’re done, the rest of the day’s your own - and lifts can’t open until you’re done.
Nah, I’d still rather not have to work while I’m there at all!!!!!
Is Lotto on tonight????
Bit like my ‘job’ really. Lifts can’t open til we are done either
Hey I am a pretty powerful chickee… well once i get the trainee off. LOL

Great work, I hope they pay him well.

I don’t think the pay’s that great, but I was really stoked to hear that Ruapehu have kept the promise they made to him to lure him back for this season. He’s about to start cat/groomer training with the Ruapehu crew, and he’ll be qualified to work OS by the time the NH season kicks off! If he ends up choosing to work at Whistler, I’ll let you know.
definitely be hard work and suck sometimes but I can think of worse jobs to do in the ski season…as chucky said, you can ride all day after it and still be raking in the moolah!
