Devo I just brought the missus to the doctors surgery and it’s chockers! Every wog and his dog is here! They reckon a 2 hour wait!

I might prescribe her a cup of concrete and get out of here.

Devo I dragged dog poo all through the house and into my office last night. I don’t even usually wear shoes in the house!

Devo I just found out about Facebook’s Promotions Guidelines. Doesn’t look like we will be able to run promotions on Facebook any more. Very disappointing!

Double devo…  hmmm

That sux rider, on both counts.

With the FB one, can you put up a status saying go to BW and post in X thread to be in the draw?

We have a client who is 86, still goes to work everyday too !!!! Anyway, when he goes to the doctors, he rings up and makes an appointment and no matter what time its for, he gets there at 8:30 when they open the door and they send him ASAP so he isn’t sitting around annoying them all day. LOL

Crafty old bugger.

Yeah I think that complies with Facebook’s guidelines but doesn’t necessarily comply with state/national regulations (depends on the actual promotion). All the contests we run on the forums comply with the regulations, last time I looked.

Why do they make it so hard for us to give away free gear to members/followers who are stoked on boardsports?  rage

I know all the guidelines and regulations are there for a reason, but they take it to the extreme. It’s so hard to run things legally!

So how did you find out?? A friendly email?

Hey wait a minute!!!!!

How the hell do all of the other companies give away free gear on there????

Do ya have to get a Permit/License or somethin????  cool hmm

There are ways to do it but it’s rather complicated. I’m trying to get my head around it now and research further. You need to do it through apps and you can’t use any Facebook functions (i.e. the like button, commenting etc).

I didn’t receive an email from them. One of our followers commented on one of the promotions and left a link to the guidelines. Facebook would have acted more rashly if they saw it. They can shut down the page at the click of a button. I’ve removed all the previous promos and I won’t be running any more against their guidelines. Our page has become too important to us to risk.

So I don’t have to get a facebook account after all!!!!!  wink
