Hey Girls,
NIKITA is an icelandic clothing brand, founded by its head designer Heida Birgisdottir and friends in a tiny skate/streetwear store in Reykjavik in early 2000.
The company still has its headquarters in Reykjavik, but it also have offices in San Francisco, Hamburg and Hossegor. There designs are available in some 1500 cool stores in just over 30 countries. NIKITA introduces a new streetwear collection twice a year and a line of outerwear for every winter. As well as designing clothing they organize events of all kinds in order to have fun and mingle with there customers - cool girls around the world. They don‘t buy trend forecasts to tell them what colors or cuts they should use for the coming seasons, they simply make the clothing they like to wear themselves, and then they offer it to you as well!

Laura Hadar Signs 2 Year Nikita Contract
Sassy, spicy, a peach and a pistol, that’s what you get with Laura Hadar. She’s not afraid to be who she is, do things her way, do it in her own style and Nikita loves her for it. Nikita is ecstatic to be signing Laura for two more years.
Laura attacks snowboarding the way she goes after life, with zeal and passion. General Manager and Head Designer, Runar Omarsson and Heida Birgisdottir, said, “We‘ve been stoked on having Laura on the Nikita team and are thrilled to renew our contract with her. Not only is she an amazing snowboarder but she‘s also in the business of street fashion with her shop, Fice. Nikita is all about girls who dig snowboarding and street fashion - so we‘re the perfect couple. We look forward to riding with her for years to come!”
How does Laura feel about signing? “I love Nikita! I’m super excited. I’ve been reppin’ Nikita for over five years. This contract just brings me that much closer to celebrating a decade with them…It’s been amazing to grow with them, and watch them grow too. I feel lucky that I could be part of something bigger than just clothes with Nikita.”
With women’s snowboarding taking on new challenges, reaching new heights and pushing harder each season it’s great to have women out there like Laura who maintain a sense of independence and individuality. Laura is a great reflection of what Nikita stands for, being an individual and having a good time with it.
According to Laura, Nikita stands for, “chicks who like to keep up with the boys while still looking liking like girls. There’s a strong connection with all girls out there who are charging the board scene and Nikita helps bring them together.”

The Chicky Clinics!
Two dates, starting with 12th December and next year on 14th March at the Snowplanet Spaarnwoude, Netherlands there will be a 2 hour ‘clinic’ for girls only, of all levels (board and ski) to learn more; whether perfecting their carve, learning rail tricks, jumps or finally just to learn how to wax or tune a board.
In a cooperation with the Netherlands Nikita snowboard team, for just 29.50 euro you get the expert help and tuition you need, in a friendly and open atmosphere. You’ll also get a goodie bag including bits fom Nikita, Les Ettes, Fancy, Cooler Magazine, Elan, Monster Energy drinks and more.

Check out the attached calendar of dates for Nikita Chickita 2010. It all kicks off with the Nikita Chickita Swiss Tour.
Nikita Chickita is all about girls who ride! An open slopestyle contest that excludes no-one at whatever age from taking part, except that is if you’re a guy.
In beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere, the Nikita Chickita provides the kind of contest that aims to encourage and showcase up-and-coming female talent that we know exists, alongside pro and established riders. Every aspect of the contest and event has been geared towards the girls’ needs – after all Nikita shares the same passion for riding and the lifestyle that goes with it. With great riding also comes good times and of course with great people.
There are loads of great prizes to be won plus the chance to get yourself noticed. Nikita Chickita USA and Europe offer the winner a one-year contract as part of the Nikita Team.
They love to see new faces take part each year just as much as they love to see the same faces come back. Without you, Nikita Chickita would not be.

NIKITA Chickita Swiss Tour
Results from Leysin - 16.01.10
19 girls took part in the 1st round of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR in Leysin on 16 January 2010, and congratulations to the winners Elena Könz and Emilie Cruz!
Two lines were prepared by the crew of the Leysin Park; a kicker line of 10 and 5 meters and a jib line with a sequence of 3 rails (flat, down, flat and down box or up rail).
The competition started at 11.00am with 2 hours of qualifications. 6 skiers and 6 snowboarders won their ticket for the Final that afternoon.
In ski, Emilie Cruz was the revelation of the day with fat 720° rotations, frontflips and backflips launched on the kickers! The young French girl won the contest behind her compatriot and Nikita team rider, Sarah Martinais, who impressed the jury with the highest and cleanest 360° on the big kicker. The podium was complete with Alexandra Nicole.
In snowboard, Elena Könz (previous Nikita Chickita Europe 2009 competitor) stood out with a 360° back and 360° front sequence on the kickers. Léa Laveau followed her with a beautiful 180° front on the big kicker and a clean run on the jib line. Alba Wunderline joined them on the podium.
Those 6 girls are through to the Final of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR in Thyon on March 20!

Nikita Action Clip Contest
Want to win a trip to Iceland this May? From now until 12th March 2010 you just need to get out there and get some footage together showing us whatever it is that gets your adrenalin pumping. This isn’t just limited to snowboarding but any kind of action sports you’re into. One winner will be chosen, you will be flown to Iceland, shown around the city of Reykjavik where Nikita is based, visit the new flagship store, bag yourself some new Nikita clothes and join our friends at Arctic Adventures on an unforgettable surf and snowboard trip.
Entry Details:
You must be female and 18 years or over. You can send in as much footage as you like as long as there is plenty of action in there featuring you and the file being e-mailed is no bigger than 4MB. Your footage will also be sown through Nikita’s YouTube and Mpora pages as well as being featured here on Nikita’s website.
