What a difference a fortnight can make!
Cold and Clear, Hotham - June 27
Moon-baking, Hotham - July 7
Thumbs up for Moon-baking
I’m so jealous of that photo. You live at mt hotham???
Is that a shooting start on the bottom right of the sky?
looks too straight. that means its usually the ISS or a satellite
Wish I did HardSnow, but just have worked life out so I can spend a fair bit of time up there during the season!
Deano on the money with the trail being too straight - but I’m fairly sure it’s a small plane, on the RAW you can spot the navigation lights blinking. You do see a lot of shooting stars up there when it’s clear though, very stoke-worthy!

bish, how do you manage to capture the stars without them streaking? Everytime I shoot the night sky they appear like streaks (earths movement, cant prevent it lol)
Hey guys thanks heaps for the props for last weeks photos! So stoked.
I’m sure if anyone was at the snow to see the rain destroy the resorts yesterday you would be just as stoked to see the
snow absolutely puke today.
Here’s a couple shots that I got in between work! Frothing for some freshies tomorrow.
7th August, Thredbo River AGAIN
7th August, Sledding Anyone??
I know your only supposed to upload 2 a day but I just wanted to show how much it was dumping today! Tomorrow is going to be so much fun

its not a long exposure, well the way i would do it is this,
you take your long exposure for the land area, then take another shorter shot to expose for the stars. stitch them together and bam
Blizzard, I’ll start a thread in the photography forum to answer your question.
Johnlaker, I like the rocket over the battleship - very nice!
Here’s some of the results of a very average and wet weekend at Hotham.
