FORUM ANNOUNCES 2011 BATTLE AT BAW BAW

Sydney, Tuesday 12th July, 2011 – Forum’s Battle At Baw Baw is back for 2011, set to go down on Saturday 23rd July and promising to live up to it’s reputation as one of the most enjoyable and respected snowboard events of the Australian season.

This year the course has been changed up and will include a number of new obstacles to allow riders to bring out their creative side while still allowing them to push their limits. With the likes of Robbie Walker, Mitch Williams, Andrew Roth, Iver Lynne and Michael Trotto all expected to attend you are guaranteed to see snowboarding at it’s finest.

First: $1000
Second: $500
Third: $250
BestTrick:  $500

To register to compete email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or register on the day at 10:30am at the Forum tent. Main event kicks off at 1pm.

Junior riders are welcomed to enter and it is free to compete.

Chris de Campo Wins 2011 Forum Battle At Baw Baw

Sydney, Tuesday 26th July, 2011 - For the fifth year in a row blue skies and sunshine greeted the Forum Battle At Baw Baw last Saturday. With junior and women’s prizes up for grab this year as well $1000 for the winner, the Battle had its largest field to date.

Chris de Campo, fresh from an extended overseas season, took out 1st place showing that he had been putting in the hard yards while away. Tom Pelley won came in 2nd with Tim Laidlaw taking out 3rd. Relative unknown Sean Ingham took out the Best Trick, with a blunt 450 out on the centre rail of the Baw Baw stair set feature.

The junior division showed that the Staveley name is one you’ll be hearing a lot more of over the coming seasons, with older brother Cameron beating his younger brother Luke to the top junior spot. New to the event this year, the women’s category was won by Josiane Simard.
