Snow/Skate social forum or portal for information?

So was just wondering if the site is going to concentrate on promoting user-driven content - ie vids/photo’s etc - a bit like a myspace/facebook for snow (you could call it snowspace or something ay)?  Or is gonna be more of an access point/reference site for addicts to read what the world is throwing our way in terms of snow inches etc, and read about industry/sport news?

To a certain extent there will be member content, but it will be quality content. An example is the member videos in the Video section. There will be member videos featured, but only videos that have been made with effort (good quality video, good editing, good/funny/interesting content), much like the member video featuring on the front page at the moment. We will have certain contests i.e. photo of the month, but again the content will be sent to us first and we will only put up the best entries. For other things, that’s what the forum is for.

Boardworld is definately information and content driven. We want to offer accurate, detailed, and professional information about as many things as possible. Industry professionals will be contributing content, and that’s the way I want to keep it. That way the information is of the highest quality possible.

To give you a better idea of the type of content being featured, have a look at the left menu on the main snow page and have a browse around. The content isnt in there yet, but it will give you an idea of the content.
