Depends how long you wanna stay and what your budget is???

If you don’t mind the drive, stay somewhere like Berridale.

If you can get in, try Jindabyne Sport & Rec. Great accom for not a lot of $.

On snow, the cheapest I can think of would be the Thredbo YHA.

Oscar,

It all depends when ya wanna go and how many of ya there are!!!!

For example, 4 of us got a deal in september that gave us 7 1/2 day lift pass, 7 nights on snow, 1 night off snow, breakfast every day, 3 x 2 course dinners all for $1100 each!!!!!

Just pick ya location, chose ya dates and search the net like a demon possessed!!!!!

There is some of the Boardworld Crew that have even got deals cheaper than us!!!!!

Well you could go one of the package deals staying at the station.  Depends on what you want to do I guess, I stayed at the backpackers last time for $50 a night in a dorm room, was ok but the beds are a bit small for me, will probably be doing it again this weekend though.

Depends what you wanna do. If you’ve got a mixture of beginners and intermediate riders who like riding park - head to selwyn. My friends and I did a weekend trip there last year. We took some of our own food and stayed for cheap and I only spent $140-150 max for the weekend. Hit me up for more details if you’re interested.

Yeh go Selwyn if you have a tight budget. You can normally rent a place for two nights heaps cheap!!

well, we did a selwyn day trip yesterday with four of us in the car and it was $40 each petrol.

You can get a lift pass at selwyn that only costs $25 and it means that you can only ride one t-bar all day (although we have ridden others haha). That t-bar gives you access to the baby beginners park (which I played in nearly all day yesterday and is really fun), a slope that is perfect for beginners to do their first turns on, and an intermediate-advanced park, which has a box line and a rail line and will soon have a jump (hopefully two!) and a wall ride.
If thats just not enough, then I think a day pass there that gives you full access to the mountain is about 70 bucks. I honestly have no idea why beginners EVER go to thredbo or perisher, as its just so expeno! You can hire gear from there and get lessons too if they need it, but I think you’d have to get a full lift pass for that. To be honest I reckon its just as fun to have you first turns on that slope and learn to ride the t-bar.

For 4 people staying, google angler’s reach lakeside village, they have pretty neat little cabins and should cost you about 34 bucks each a night…if you have more people, its cheaper. They have kitchens so you can take your 2 min noodles or make cheap spag bol, fridges so you can bring your own beer and its about 30-40mins from the slopes.

Selwyn also has relatively cheap food on the mountain as well - not cheap, mind you - but not ridiculous like the other big resorts.

mroscar,
Give me your dates and I’ll see what I can do re:Thredbo.
For people I really like accom can be arranged for the cost of beer. If you have a few mates I know of self contained places for around $400(not per person) two nights, sleeps many.

edit: by spaz for spaz because of a spaz attack and comments unbefitting
