I have a Canon… now don’t stop reading cause Im not gonna try tell you to buy one! But just a couple things that may be comparable:
Kit lens: They were fantastic! I still do use them to this day, as I did for about the 3-4 years since I bought the camera. I only upgraded last year for shooting Gridiron.
UV filter: Got one straight away for same reasons Gamblor stated.
Flash: The flash is ok… but definitely not great. It would have been the first thing I upgraded but I am mosting shooting sport in the middle of the day, so that is still on hold.
Hope it helps

yeah Mizu!
Now you’ve got a kick-ass board AND a kick-ass camera -> looking forward to seeing some ace shots from you
I dont know about Nikon, but when I got my Canon it came with a little pocket sized quick reference guide on the settings etc. Absolute lifesaver when learning!
Don’t be afraid to RTFM with the DSLR!
And I need plenty of practice on both Gamblor!!!!!
blizz, the Nikon only came with a disk, so I’m gonna print out the 120 page manual when I get to work!!!!!
Ouch 120 pages! I never used the full manual. You could probably just print the pages you need for settings etc. Can’t wait to see some shots!
