Opinions for changes to the forums

Hey guys, just want to get your thoughts and opinions for upcoming changes to the forums.

We are aiming to launch the skate section of the website on Jan 1. The skate section of the forums is probably going to be integrated into the forums about 2 weeks prior to the launch.

How we are thinking of breaking up the forums is:

GENERAL
- Boardworld Social
- Industry Announcements
- Girls Only
- Photography and Filming
- Health and Fitness
- Site Questions and Feedback

SNOWBOARDING
- Equipment and Products
- Rider Progression
- Setup and Tuning
- Mountains and Travel

SKATEBOARDING
- Equipment and Products
- Skater Progression
- Skate Tech
- Skate Parks and Skate Spots (wording and sections in skate may change)

SURFING
Wont be launching for a while…

So, what do you think?? I think we need to have a common area and get interaction between the sports. Most of us ride more than one board… If a thread is snow specific, we can always make that known in the topic. We still have a couple of months to work this out and it’s important we make the right decisions for the Boardworld Community.

Looks like your on the money to me.

I can still do that even though I am closer to 40 than 30 now. I will get the boys watching these tips for sure.

first thing I notice is the surfing needs more sections. 

but seriously I’ll give it a better looking at when I’m sober, it’s the first Saturday night I’ve had free in a loooonnngg time.

I think that sounds like a good division of the sections.
Keeping the social area a ‘joint’ room is a good thing, as most communication happens in that area anyway, but the topics that are more specific to the sport are contained under the sport’s heading.

I like the divisions that you have created.

Realistically about 6-8 months away.
