man why is every forum different for posting vids and stuff :sigh:
Looked and Sounded like you guys had fun Cab!!!!!
yeah mizu, was a good day
hard work, but worth it
nice! looks like the effort was worth it. Did you see anyone else all day?
only criticism is to much zooming in and out and follow cam was sometimes really bumpy!
yeah a few other groups out there
i haven’t used the camera for a while crackers - there was snow/water on the lens and i couldn’t get the camera to focus that well due to hazy/cloudy day, looking into the sun and other crap
1st time i have ridden holding a handycam .... i do have a helmet cam (older 1), but i prefer a closer shot than the helmet cam gives
yeh no probs, they were only minor points anyway. I like to use a normal cam in the hand a lot to rather than just the helmet cam.
And I can’t really talk anyway cause I always think about taking a small tripod out as well but very rarely do
Pole cam is the way to go!!!!!
my thoughts was to balance my cam on my hiking poles for the stationary/uphill shots
but in the rush of the moment and having them packed on the back etc
Pole cam is the way to go!!!!!
yeah but so try hard ghey ......

Great stuff mate, thanks for sharing!
sharing is caring - except fresh snow :D
Wicked, got me pumped to go hiking

what are your thoughts on the snowshoe set up etc? did you find they helped much? what about other times you have used them? They look like a you guys have a good set up. what were the costs/prices?
from personal experience I find they are more of a hindrance than a help in Australia, especially if its been a little windy and theres a bit of a crust on top and you break through then have to pull them back through. I hated them until I used them in europe a few times in some deep soft stuff and they were amazing, I love hiking so now I’m in two minds about getting some. I wouldn’t mind trying them again here (i.e i wouldnt mind getting some good snow to try them in )
crackers i have post-holed enough riding slack country around PB than if i’m planing to hike i’m using snowshoes
it was that deep out there if you were boot packing it would have taken 10 times longer to get up or impossible
snowshoes are a must, i’m so unfit atm, but my mates were charging uphill (they have been training for marathons and other carp)
all of us are rocking the MSR Denali or Lightning Assents i think
Rhythm Sports Cooma have
Denalis for $399
Lightning Assents for $499
